No X’s, No Buys.

I’m not gonna pretend for ten seconds that I think this Supreme YOT “tribute” joint being sold by gimmerecords10 is cool, but I’m sure there are plenty of people out there who get a kick out of these, so I’m posting it anyways…

How you gonna make a shirt that says YOUTH CREW and then leave the X off the fist? I mean, I get stripping the X off, even though it’s lame, but it’s not like Youth Crew was any less of a Straight Edge thing. Maybe I’m just the wrong guy to be posting about this. Were YOT even involved with this the way Civ and others were with those Hundreds shirts, or is this more along the lines of those random Judge and Integrity streetwear rip offs? When I try to Google up some research I just get a bunch of Supreme Court cases…

DTN: Two Flavors

Down To Nothing seems to have a split personality at times. Could go hand in hand with @DavidXWood’s hair style. From clean cut, youth crew to shaggy tie dyed, Down To Nothing gives you a little bit from both sides. Take these two tees. They probably couldn’t be any further apart on the shirt spectrum.

First up is the hippie tie dyed look. Granted, it’s an awesome shirt. Good graf font, plus some sweet tie dye. Sharp look for summer. I’m sure these were pretty limited too. No doubt.

And second is the more youth crew styled Revelation Records shirt. Seriously. Live shot on the back with not one but TWO Revelation Records logos. Shout outs to Chain Of Strength! Excellent look.

And if these flavors from jamooth aren’t your taste, you can always surf over to RevHQ or MerchNOW and grab something that suits you more.

The Way It Is…

Wow, no sooner than we start this blog, a true gem is spied in the wilds of ebay. What we have here is a  “The Way It Is” Revelation Records shirt. This is an odd shirt from the early Revelation Records days for the following reasons;

  • The shirt features the Revelation Records logo and star, and was NOT made by Revelation Records.
  • The shirt features a picture of Raw Deal on the back who were not on the comp.

The story as I know it(which may be wrong) is that Tim Singer made a small batch of these at the same time as the Raw Deal “no More Games” shirts were printed up. Not sure why, but I am glad he did.

This shirt SHOULD represent the ideal  for Revelation Records memorabilia collectors, but there are few out there, and many people have never even seen this design.

I am going to try to get some further information from Tim Singer about the origins of the shirt.

Good luck with the bidding, as I assume that this baby will sell for a  pretty penny.

Unit Pride Kelly Green shirt

Every so often an odd colored version of your favorite shirt comes across the wire. Here we have a kelly green version of the Unit Pride Holding on Strong shirt. The backstory as stated in the auction, is that this shirt was thrown in the mix when the original batch of these were made.  It would help this auction greatly if there were a name of the original owner stated for credibility.

Ok, let’s put this out in the open. DO NOT TAILOR OLD HARDCORE SHIRTS. Would you buy a painting and cut it in half to fit a frame you already have? I thought not. I am curious to see what this one will go for.
