are you kidding me with this thing. Victory will find a way to put a bulldog on anything. I think they missed the point that having the Champion “C” is one of the best parts of jerseys

VOD BIN

Another band from the late 90s that I was not at fan of but had lot of fun stagediving to people with dreadlocks on to. I never got into this band at all. Even when they covered the bad brains I wasnt interested. Then again they covered soul craft. You can tell me all you want that you love quickness and soulcraft is a good jam but when Im at a gig I wanna hear something that that is going to make Dolloff mosh and quickness era BB is not it. Dont get me wrong that opening riff is hard as shit but I need more power. More angst. I need Coptic Times. When that song opens your mind fucking melts a little bit. Gimme a cover of something like right brigade or at the movies or fvk or I or shitfit or the regulator or pretty much anything that is not quickness era BB.

VOD

We have had this shirt design up on TTD a few times before and its been a VOD fan favorite. The front looks like Supertouch. xtryxagainx does a bang up job in the item description department. I love “I’am the second owner of the shirt. I recieved it at a show in 1997 when H2O played Deja One. A friends brother traded it to me for an Earth Crisis record while waiting on line in front of the venue. ” Can you think of a more 90s trade?!?

I Saw VOD The Other Night.

This past Friday at the Gramercy Theatre, to be specific. And if he wasn’t in Virginia, it wouldn’t surprise me that xrebelheartsx had been there too, and immediately gone home and put this shirt up in sadness…

Not that it was a surprise, since it’s been the case since like 1998, but VOD in 2010 = rock concert. A very crowded rock concert to be sure, but a rock concert all the same. I’m not gonna say that people don’t stage dive to VOD or that they’re not into that happening anymore or anything, but in this particular instance the only stage diving was done by 20 beach balls that they (not even they, they’re road crew) threw out into the crowd before the lights went out and Party In The USA started blaring out over the PA. They DID open with Suffer and Element, which in theory is cool but it was just a total rock show vibe (dude tried for the scream version of a high note in Suffer for crying out loud) that it was actually just awkward. None of us were feeling it, so we left early and went to Shake Shack, which made the night a big win.

So yeah, long story short (too late), don’t expect to see the back of this shirt recreated any time soon.

Strong Island?

XtryXagainX is selling this piece of LIHC history. A must for fans of dreadlocks and later bad brains era covers. I never realized before how supertouchy the front logo is on this thing. Back is just typical 90s core- ie. band name, live pic, dope graf hand style.
Ill admit I dont know too much about LIHC off the top of my head. Best LIHC bands anyone?

Lotta Lots

One of these lots is better than the others.

But if you look closely, they both have filler.

And some gems.

Like one has American Nightmare And Despair.

The other has Madball, H2O, Ignite and VOD.

Choices, choices.

Vision Of Disorder – Long Island Hardcore Tee

I recall seeing VOD at the Espresso Bar in Worcester back in 1997. It was quite the lineup, a pretty typical E-Bar gig, really. Shed, fortydaysrain, A Day In The Life, and V.O.D. I was there to support my friends band, fortydaysrain. They had just got their demo out and people were really starting to get into. They were psyched to be playing with the likes of VOD who were pretty popular at the time in our area. The place was packed, and kids went nuts for VOD. Even with that stupid pole in the middle of the stage. Ugh, stupid pole.

If you didn’t know, VOD has reunited and is playing shows again. In fact, they were headlining the second (or third?) leg of the 10 For 10 tour. I had the chance to (almost) catch them in Worcester again. It was a little surprising to see their name in big letters on the Palladium marquee. Instead of playing a 200 person club like the E-Bar (of course, now closed), they were headlining the downstairs of the Palladium, which probably maxes around 1500-2000 kids. Maybe more. Bane played before them on that Sunday night. Kids were going ape. I even witnessed a big circle pit. The crowd was smaller than 1500, that’s certain. I’d guess closer to 900. It wasn’t empty, but it wasn’t busting at the seams, either. Bane finished their set and the place emptied like someone turned it on its side. I took off too. I had work the next day afterall.

A friend asked why I was leaving. I told him I was spent after 9 bands and 6 hours of gigging. He complained I had no “long island hardcore pride.” That’s probably true. I’d have to ask someone who stuck around, but I’m guessing it was a ghost moshpit for VOD. I think I can guarantee there were more kids moshing to them in the cramped E-Bar than the entire Palladium that night. Too bad. I’m sure Travis from This Is Hell did some heavy pitting for them. ;)
