TYF last show shirts

These shirts from heathens bring back a lot of memories. The end of Ten Yard Fight was the end of an era for a lot of people. I remember all the time leading up to the show just being so stoked and bummed. People were bummed they were breaking up but at the same time they were psyched on the final show. The fact that it was being video taped was a big deal. In the end the show was a blur of stagedives, goodbyes, and cool shirts. I wore the shit out of this first shirt. They did not set the ink totally so a lot of peoples started to wash off when washed for the first time. This looks like it has it but its not too bad.

Not too crazy about this graphic but there was a time when this stencil was spray painted all over the place. There has got to be a few surviving ones. Any one know?

First And Ten.

Seller jeffpelly brings us what he thinks is the first Ten Yard Fight tee. He’s close, but no touchdown I’m afraid, as a quick check of HowsYourEdge surprisingly shows that the first TYF tee was actually the Hardcore Pride logo with the football player on the back that they remade through out their entire run (my memory is getting terrible, I can’t believe I had to check HYE for a band I was around for the entire lifespan of). This was pretty close behind tho, that’s for sure. I remember all The Trusters picking this one up at the TYF/454 Big Block/Earth Crisis show at the Middle East, while I went for the Summer 96 tour tee with the pic of Tony Pops jumping on the back (also picked up that day: the original Bridge 9 Drug Free Crimson Ghost tee). Thankfully, I chose the TYF tee over a Big Block tee, because I made the mistake of loaning it to a girl I was hooking up with in my sophomore year of college, and she dropped me like a day later. The tee was never returned, and given how hard it is to find a Big Block tee now… I was told about a year later that she got knocked up and wore it for maternity clothes. If only TYF had still been playing Drawing the Line in 1997…

Ten Yard Fight shirts

Ebay seller xpawtucketpatx has up these two Ten Yard Fight shirts which I really like. First up, how can you not like Santa Claus on a hardcore shirt? I don’t think it’s possible. Hell Murphy goes gaga for that Insted shirt with the candy canes on the back. Close enough, right? This was made for one show, and it doesn’t pop up too often.

This second shirt is near and dear to my heart. I wanted one of these at the last show and they were sold out. I had to settle for some other substandard football related design. Everytime I see this, I wish I had gotten one that day. Great simple shirt, and if you have an XL, hit me up.

Last Show Stuff.

Last show merch is always a big hit, be it at the actual show or afterwards on the ‘bay. Of course, these days, the last show merch ends up being a lie, as a last show is no longer an actual last show (I should know, right?). But that doesn’t make some of it any less cool. Case in point, are we gonna pretend that an intact giant TYF flyer for the first Edge Day isn’t any less awesome just because they did a set at the second?

heathens

Ok, so maybe that doesn’t really count. It’s not like those were sold at the show. Well, what about this tee from Sheer Terror’s Wake and Funeral? No, it doesn’t have Sean Taggart artwork or a bulldog on it, but that’s kind of part of why I like it. It’s different from the usual classic ST shirts, and the fact that the band has since reunited doesn’t make me like it any less.

TYF BIN.

Just a quick BIN here from disciplinex

I dunno if that BIN price is a good deal or not; seems like it might be a tad high since I don’t think TYF is all that “hot” right now, but it’s a fine looking sweatshirt. If you get it, be sure to wear it with the hood up a la Wrench.

Ten Yard Fight shirt

I’m hoping Clevo will chime in here and drop some knowledge about this red Ten Yard Fight shirt that mahabysdad is selling. I am feeling this shirt in red. This one would be perfect to help me cope with football almost being over.

Ten Yard Fight last show shirt

mahabysdad is selling my favorite Ten Yard Fight shirt and in amazing condition. Almost everyone I know who has this shirt has the front print cracked or faded off. This one looks great. You probably know the deal with this shirt. It was sold at club Karma at the last TYF gig(duh). Just a classic.

Ten Yard Flight*.

Interesting item here from xpoulpex

Not too sure who’s going to be in the market for a fan made jacket for a band they weren’t in, but hey, more power to the seller for the creativity, and I’m sure Clevo appreciates the French TYF love (he had a mustache once, so I figure he’s down with the French). Those letters look nice and fluffy too.

*- You know, because the French are cheese eating surrender monkeys.
