Temperance were the RISE and fall of the straight edge scene in Rhode Island in the early to mid 90′s. Seller nilukas has this Temperance Conversion Records European Tour hoody for sale. They were trying to be a carbon copy of Kingpin at this point, and I like the previously released 7″ much better. Good piece of Rhode Island hardcore history and one we don’t see all too often.
Ebay seller thawin199 has a rare Temperance Conversion records shirt up for sale. This was made to promote the 1995 European Tour. Temperance were the first hardcore band from Rhode Island that I can remember touring Europe. I believe this tour was cut short because someone put diesel into the gas engine of their tour van by accident. Even though I haven’t seen one of these in awhile and they are quite rare, I have to say that this is one of the most awful designs that Conversion did. Totally uninspiring and blah. Either way, it’s a good conversation piece, and a piece of Rhode Island Straight Edge history.
