Treat yourself to a X Swatch

Now I know people get mad when X Swatches get posted and they say how they missed out on scoring it really cheap. Well I started watching this when it was at $50 and even considered getting myself a spare, but then when I checked it today and it was at over $300 I figured I couldn’t be blamed at this point. Now I can let people know about it that might not have been looking. Seller david79luis is selling one that doesn’t need repairs or anything new, which is a big plus. I hate when I see broken ones go for so much money. Sadly the days where you could get one for about $100-$150 are gone.

This reads like gibberish to me. Serious run-on sentence. Plus, have you ever heard anyone call it the “Swatch X?” No, no you have not. X Swatch maybe, or X watch but never Swatch X. Weirdo. Then I realized the seller just stole the text from squiggly.com. Of course, the image link he provides is from 2007 and points at … nothing. Again, you think he could have double checked his info before pasting it into his auction.

If I were you, here’s what I would do. Ask for about 500 more pictures. He doesn’t show the face or the back. The image isn’t stolen (unless he stole 10 auctions worth of pictures, unlikely). But it sucks. The box is not original, and I’m guessing the band isn’t either. It’s just too crisp. I’d guess it was a recent, probably one of these (actually, that’s a damn good price for 6 bands).

No worries, you are in luck. mazzo29 (who we haven’t seen in a minute, but who comes hard with SOME HEAT. Make sure to check his other auctions) “found one in a box,” and is hooking you up. This one is actually busted, just like the one we saw the other day. The second hand is stuck. I’m guessing it’s loose and stuck at 6 — I’ve seen that happen before. Bummer.

Front Street

Im not sure why anyone is going to bid on this X Swatch from igren. Arnt broken Swatches like done once they are done? basically all you can do with this is front like you have a working watch and then look like a dick when someone asks you the time and you have to pull out your cellphone to tell them. ha! I think mine is on the way out. New batteries dont seem to last that long where as before I would never have to change it for like at least a year.

Everyone loves the X-rated Swatch. From crucial edgeman to washed out losers. Everyone wants one. It’s a sharp accessory, no doubt. aalfa147 is here to help you with that. That is, as long as your pockets are deep enough. This BIN is a little steep for my liking, but we’ll see how it goes. I think it’s pretty much a pipe dream for a non-mint and boxed swatch, but you never know.

Minty X-Rated Swatch

Holy shit. This X-Rated Swatch from huge_portal is MINT. Seriously. A gem. You are NEVER finding one in this excellent condition again, unless you find a time machine. Original band even! The seller posted up a bunch of pics so click through. It’ll blow your mind how well off this watch is. Plus, some of his statements are super spot on. Here’s a favorite, While many X Swatches look like they’ve been run through a wood chipper, this one is a time capsule. Wood Chipper. So true. And if this one gets out of your league, you can always go after this one or this one.

X-Rated BIN

When it comes to authentic Swatch watchesdannyvital comes in. He knows the watches are expensive, but he’s got the next best thing: an X-Rated Swatch Tshirt. Yeap, know you too can sport an X-Rated Swatch, and don’t worry, it’s nearly as good as the real thing. You still won’t be able to tell time, and 30 days out of the month, the date will still be wrong (lots of x-rated swatches seem to have crap date movements. No idea why. Perhaps being 23 years old has something to do with it …). Check it. For $11 BIN, it’s hard to beat.

But if you are hell bent on wearing one on your wrist, go ahead and pony up on this one. The BIN is a bit astounding, if you ask me. But beggars can’t be chosers.

X-Rated and Fake Bidders

With a name like 67-corvette-327, you’d think this guy would be selling “some crappy watch he bought 20+ years ago.” Not so, peep the other pictures and you’ll see a HUGE stack of LPs. You have to wonder what he’s got in there. Then check his other auctions and go hmmm. And if you’re a fake bidder, don’t bother. This guy is on the ball and he’s killing fake bidders quick. I like that style. I like sellers that proactively squash fakes. With over 6 days to go, this thing passed the $400 mark. Not cool. Fucking fake bidders. He took them out and now the watch is back to a “more reasonable” price. We’ll see how it goes.

Then check this BIN. Maybe hit up that “offer” button.

The 90s were a strange time. A strange time that ruined many, many cool things. For example: the legend that the Project X lp would be called “The Edge Of Quarrel”? Forever made uncool by the creation of a home made, cheesy, “Straight Edgers vs Punks” movie that used the title. And now I see that the movie ruined something else: an actual X Swatch…

The seller says he thinks this was most likely smashed to s#!t during filming. Which makes sense to me, since according to the description it was passed around the cast like a joint at a Murphy’s Law show in 1986.

He seems pretty certain that this is un-repairable outside of paying a watchmaker to basically do it from scratch, and his idea is that someone will buy this as movie memorabilia… yeah. If it was me, I’d take my watchmaker money, go for sach5′s X-Rated instead, and just get an actual Swatch strap for it.
