Dunno how Murphy left these two from icegrillz05 out of his post on LOC approved shirts. Especially this one, which was one of the very first Mental designs, and would have gone nicely with the Unholy Man TWS shirt…

Actually, now that I think about it, I understand why Murphy left off this one; because it’s not from the early days of the LOC. But it’s still one of the best tees to ever sport the LOC on the back…

Loud And Clear USA!

Seller xmaulx brings us one from National Edge Day 2008…

I’m not sure if these were made in numbers as few as Barrows’ free FP shirts, but this is still a rare bit of Boston Straight Edge wear, as this is the only Step Forward shirt made with their original name of Loud And Clear, and it was sold only at that years show. And I would be remiss if I did not find a reason to mention Scace when talking about SF… Scace did not play the gig these were sold at. It was the only gray cloud on an otherwise perfect day.

Spoiler Art is made of win.

Life just hasn’t been the same since Scace moved to Arizona. It is my firm belief that if he had never moved, Step Forward would gig far more often, because then he would still be in the line up, and as we all know: Scace lives for the gig. I’m sure soulvice88 agrees.

Lets Keep This Going

Life isn’t fair. We know this, but can we talk about how a guy in Germany has one of these Step Forward longsleeves and I do not? That’s just not right. Granted, I suppose this guy could have traveled to the US for the ONE show where these shirts were sold. That’s possible. But unlikely. Again, life isn’t fair. But you know what is fair? Sharing the wealth. Those dudes over at moshface.com have been sending some nice traffic our way lately so it’s only fair to reciprocate. Go check out their site and report back.

Edge Day (Observed) Show – Step Forward!

Sigh. Seller theyhaveteeth has up a Step Forward longsleeve I really, really want. But sadly, it’s a medium. Yuck. These shirts were actually sold a year ago at the last Have Heart gig at Club Lido. And possibly, but not likely, the night before in Haverhill at Anchors Up. Not many were made, and most were given to friends. Somehow, they sold out of larges right away. Bummersville.

See you at the gig tonight? Alert, No Tolerance, Vaccine, Step Forward and Waste Management. So ill.

Closet Clean Out #1: The LOC Section.

Seller icegrillz05 is cleaning out his closet and selling off his unworn shirts. Believe me, I know the feeling. I have a stack of unworn shirts probably knee high that I keep meaning to put up one of these days. None of them are as good as any of these though…

The above looks like a white tee, but I’m pretty sure it’s just the lighting, as these were all made on gray. Def one we’ve been seeing quite a bit of lately, along with it’s brother the Invasion Security shirt.

Loud And Clear USA

Standhard Records Proudly Presents …

When Step Forward was just starting out, they began by calling themselves “Loud And Clear.” Little did they know that a band from Belgium was breaking big who was ALSO named Loud And Clear. For a while, Step Forward promoted themselves as Loud And Clear. Then a name change was made. Sadly, it was by the US band. But that didn’t stop many people from still referring to them as Loud And Clear USA. This is the only shirt to make that reference though. Great white tee. I think the art is by Ben P of Rampage, but now I’m not sure. Can’t go wrong with that giant LOC logo.

A QVCC Gig

In my life, I’ve only ever booked one (solo) show. I booked a few when I was back at WPI, but that was with college money and a few friends. We booked some good ones, no doubt (Bane, Reach The Sky & Buried Alive. Word). But this one gig in 2007, I booked myself. And looking back on it, it was a chill fucking shows.

January 20, 2007 @ The QVCC Worcester Mass: Have Heart (I Rise), Cold World, Lion Of Judah, War Hungry, Step Forward

Come on, now that’s a pretty epic lineup. It was cold as hell that night, which seemed to keep a lot of kids away, but I had a blast. And there were definitely enough people up front during Cold World for Hoodrack to do this ill 5-6 step headwalk. It was monumental. Reminded me of that one headwalk AJ did for Bane at the Space. Good headwalks are hard to come by, really.

Looking back, I’m proud of that gig.
