2 RIGHTEOUS hoodies

no-other-way has two more Righteous jams sweatshirts in addition to the one Murphy posted the other day. One is the standard RJ logo and the other is my favorite RJ shirt design on a hoodie. But its missing the front print the shirt has. You know, the “Invasion Used To Be This Band” part. Not sure why they left it off the hoodies on the Euro tour. Should I be offended Joey C didnt want Europe to know about our brief time in a
band together?

Barfight Brigade.

You know how pretty much every time we post a Right Brigade or Barfight tee on here, we end up posting the video of Standhard singing with Barfight? Ever wondered what show that was from? Well here’s our friend Thomas with the answer, along with the shirt from the show…

One of the members of Barfight got married and had a wedding show. All the bands listed above played*. Standhard got up and Barfight played a Right Brigade song. Such a fun show.

*- said bands included American Nightmare. Their name is on the the shirt too. Just sayin’.

Invasion used to be this band…

Im taking the selling of this shirt from trumbullmarket as a diss!
The first shirt I ever drew and it looks like shit. I had no idea what I was doing. I didnt pick the colors. I had less than a week to draw it all while going to school full time and working. It is the product of a rush job and a lack of experience. To make up for it I redid this shirt with an all new drawing for the Invasion reunion gig a couple years back and it was also a week long rush job but I think it came out a lot better. For what its worth I still love the first shirt just because of what it is, the time period it represents, and the friends I did it for :) The show that these were sold at was a pretty good gig too. Shirts and demos flew off the table. I love that pretty much all demos were a taped over tape with a lyric sheet attached by a rubber band!

Joey C. Standhard. Camo hats.

See the hats in the Joey C/Standhard bro love shirt that strictlysaucers is selling?

You can’t tell in the pic, but those are WarZone camo hats. Original ones. Odds on you finding your own: very slim. But the camo hats INSPIRED by the WarZone hats on those noggins up there? The Righteous Jams camo hats? Not only did we see one earlier in the week, but seller jerseyshore101 has got one up right now for you to bid on, along with an awesomely blue RJ hoodie and another pair of awesomely ridiculous descriptions…

Wear it on the beach.
Wear it at the club.
Wear it at the bar.
Wear it at a hardcore concert.
Wear it during sex.
Wear it while eating.

I wore this hat for a while, and I had lots of sex!

Rare, hard to find, unique, antique, physique.
Buy it, cut the sleeves off it and hit the gym.
Drink a protein shake, and tell a girls whats up.
Let her know what kind of jams you listen to.
Let her know how you get down.

Loud And Clear USA!

Seller xmaulx brings us one from National Edge Day 2008…

I’m not sure if these were made in numbers as few as Barrows’ free FP shirts, but this is still a rare bit of Boston Straight Edge wear, as this is the only Step Forward shirt made with their original name of Loud And Clear, and it was sold only at that years show. And I would be remiss if I did not find a reason to mention Scace when talking about SF… Scace did not play the gig these were sold at. It was the only gray cloud on an otherwise perfect day.

Spoiler Art is made of win.

iowncds Owns More Tees.

Some more auctions to repay my debt to seller iowncds, and I like I said before, good thing none of this is crap. Where would my credibility be then (insert what credibility response here).

Who knew the first Invasion design also had a longsleeve version? I sure didn’t. More solid work from Jay Bil for more classic Joey C bands. If only Jay had done a Stop And Think design…

And as a bonus, he’s also got up this Mouthpiece Bones Brigade rip…

Good stuff.

Invasion Security Revisited.

Got another Invasion Security shirt up for grabs, this time from seller xbackontrack.

Gotta say, given how few of these were actually made, kind of a bumout how much of a turn over rate there’s been on them. Ah well. I’ll hang on to mine and keep fighting the good fight. The few and the proud and all that.

Wear It To The Gym.

Really joexstrummer? That’s all you’ve got for this?

Invasion shirt, size LARGE, never worn. Ever. There is a weight lifter on this shirt… Wear it to the gym.

I’m very disappointed in you Rick. So I’ll pick up your slack.

These were one of two designs sold at the last (though it ended up beings second to last) Floorpunch show at the Church in NJ. Invasion was the secret guest, reuniting for probably their 5th show ever. As always, their playing was uncertain until they actually got onstage and played, and also as always, it was AWESOME. Every LOC dude within 6 hours driving distance rolled down for the show, and single one got in that mosh pit. Clevo sang Discriminate Me with Sausage on bass. Joey C took the mic for Righteous Jams the song. The world embarked. See for yourself:

Invasion from KO Films on Vimeo.

Doing a Strength Team shirt was Standhard’s idea, and I executed it on I believe something like 48 hours notice, with a crucial assist from my boys Ian (Free HERT!) and Jay Bil (who designed the other shirt sold at that show, which is also for sale. But I’ll let him talk about that one). My basic idea for the drawing was to do something that would be on a gym tee shirt, a la the Powerhouse Gym logo but with the Invasion dude’s head on it (I actually did two designs, but the other one did not get made and so remains classified). This is def one of the shirt designs I’m most of proud of, came out perfect.

And yes, you can wear it to the gym.

Quality Lockin Out Related Zines

Over the years, I’ve come to know a lot of cool people. I grew up through hardcore with a lot of them.

First up is a zine from one of Merrimack Valleys finest, Joey C. Before Joey C fronted Righteous Jams or played in Stop And Think, he was just a kid who liked to stage dive onto his couch at any given moment. He put together one of the greatest zines to come out of the valley. You can get issue #3 and #4 from the same seller. Good deal. Issue #4 has a great Floorpunch tribute and an excellent Ten Yard Fight interview.

Quality dude. Great zine. I really want #4 back in my life. I think it was left behind in one of my many moves.

Next up is a zine out of Worcester Mass. Truth Will Out. Great zine. This one comes from another solid edgeman, AJ of Stop And Think. Again, before AJ was the lead singer of Stop And Think, he was a dude who would go down to the WPI track and field, and pull off copious dives onto the poll vaulting equipment. I even played a small part in this great zine. If you flip to about halfway, there is an article about a certain Halobox demo tape. Two of my all time favorite pictures are in that article. You’ll know them when you see them.

Oh hell yes. Stand Hard Fanzine. JSH in the building. Before Right Brigade, before American Nightmare, before Follow Through, before Tenfold, before releasing Fastbreak eps, before Stand Hard Records, there was Stand Hard Fanzine. And a hardcore dude from Connecticut with an ill record collection. Great zine. This zine dropped as metal hardcore was, thankfully, waning and youth crew revival was on the upswing. Hardcore was poised for an excellent new dawn.

PS. Who is the seller? Gotta be a late 90s Worcester or Boston head. The zine selection is seriously Boston suburbs late 90s era and the seller name is a direct Bane reference. So speak up, who is it?

Have Heart Crew Tanktop

These tank tops were made up for the 2nd to last Have Heart gig. The Pre Edge Day show at Anchors Up in Haverhill Mass. I think Sam or Apps rolled up with boxes of these and began distributing them to the crew. Of course, they gave out other tees as well.

I’m not a tank top man, or a probably one to consider myself “Have Heart Crew,” but when I attempted to snag a Have Heart Sucks tee, Sam had already given them all out. Bummer.

But now this one is up on eBay. Weird. Guess someone wasn’t into wearing tanktops anymore, or possibly was never into wearing tanktops at all. Oh well.

This one is certainly a crucial limited shirt. Don’t sleep.
