Youth of Today Some Records Hoodie.

So Sunday I took a nice hour or so to write up a big, 3 paragraph, fully detailed and researched (via my copy of Radio Silence) post about this Youth of Today sweatshirt being sold by death_mold:

Long story shirt: very rare, made for sale exclusively at Some Records from a Dan O drawing Porcell took from Think! Fanzine.

So Monday morning, I check in to do some more posts, and I see a message from a certain other contributor asking that nobody post it, because he wanted a shot at it. So the post had to be deleted. But last night, said contributor messaged me saying it was gonna end up out of his price range, so feel free to re-post it…

Last night was the night Murphy cleaned out the Trash.

Youth Of Today Some Records shirt

Here is a gem that does not pop up all too often. This is an early Youth Of Today shirt that was made in the Cappo kitchen table(at least that’s what I was told). These were sold out of Some Records, ans I can’t imagine that there were more than a few dozen of these made. What is interesting about this one is the front print. ANOTHER Some Records flyer lot

Straight Ahead May 5th CBGBs

NYHC

Straight Ahead.

You had me in the first two lines. It doesn’t hurt that the Straight Ahead font makes me think of Coca Cola Classic.

Great flyer for sentimental reasons, obviously. Right out of Duane Some Records’ collection. Sweet.

Maybe Brett will post about running to get a hot dog. Actually, I think that was a different gig. But pretty chill lineup.

Straight Ahead, Beyond Possession, Sick Of It All and YDL. I’m not much of a YDLmin, but I’m sold.

You may be wondering who Beyond Possession was. Well, they sum it up nicely. “Beyond Possession is Beyond Possession. We know who we are….do you?”

What year was this? It was 9 days before my birthday. I was probably turning 9. So while dudes were moshing to SA, I was eating cake and reading comic books. Fair trade.
