Slapshot European Jacket BIN

Definitely feeling this varsity style jacket from badinplaid1223. Apparently this was sold on a recent European tour and has all the bells and whistles that any fan of Slapshot would want. The only thing I’m wondering would be is the design stitched or screen printed? I’m assuming screen printed as the back looks like it but clarification would be cool. Really cool piece of merch with a Buy it Now price that’s not too out there.

I have this SlapShot poster that 1970ballofdestruction is selling. In fact, I’ve owned two in my time. I forget where I got the first one and what happened to it (I think it was accidentally destroyed when I moved) but the second one was gifted to me by Mark Fields (Proclamation). I’ve been meaning to get it framed literally forever. Should have done it ages ago…

And as long as we’re talking about Slapshot… oof.

How Much I Hate This 108…

Raise your hands, how many of you always thought that the SlapShot song 108 was about BOTH Youth of Today and 108? Come on, it’s alright, you can admit it. I mean, it made perfect sense didn’t it? “How much I hate this 108, turning kids to chanting fools” in an anti-Krishna song during the time when the other band besides Shelter best known for being Krishna conscious was called 108? Sure seemed like Choke was hitting two birds with the same stone. Still, years later this would be cleared up via the B9 board, of all places, where it was revealed (I believe by Choke) that 108 was only mentioned because “eight” rhymes with “hate”, and the song was entirely about Ray. Seller pingler has a shirt for auction from both SlapShot AND 108, so you can pick your side when you pick your size… well, both shirts are XL, and like I said the song apparently isn’t actually about 108, but you get my point…

Nice weather has rolled in (did we get winter? did I miss winter? Too bad, eff winter), which means pretty soon, it’s gonna be time for BBQ’s. Now, seller sinkler100 doesn’t have any appropriately crucial Murphys Law merch to go with said BBQ, but he does have a Slapshot “Where The Men Are Men And The Meat Is Red” tee up for sale… sadly, it’s not one of the ones with the red print, but it’s still an oldie, and appropriate wear for some meat grilling. Just don’t spill anything.

I love in these listings that in-your-ear! has up that they say, “sometimes a shirt is printed somewhat off-center”. Don’t be mad if your shirts are crooked! Regardless of possible off-centered prints these Slapshot shirts don’t look too shabby. The neck on the longsleeve is pretty stretched out, but they look pretty wearable. I’m curious to see how much these go for, because they both have reserves on them.

Whoa there gdoggondaroof, you’re coming out of the gate with the big guns. Sure this is a simple design but maaaaan its so good. The shirt of this was sold only at a show in DC with Slapshot, and this hoodie was one of only TWO made. Don’t let it get away from you because this is for sure not going to turn up again.

Now for my second comeback post im back to complaining and being a grumpy old man. I love a good slapshot shirt. This is not one of them. I hate a rip off shirt and I feel like I hate a Slapshot Rip off shirt even more. They are fucking Slap Shot! All they need to do is put the cover of “Back on the Map” on a shirt and you have a hit shirt. This shirt from alliedtrailers sucks and I know its not the only SS rip off shirt out there. Ill go back into my cave and try to keep on pretending they dont exist.

Wow, talk about coincidence! Just yesterday I was discussing my favorite Slapshot shirt with a friend of mine. Then BOOM this one for sale by satchel001 shows up. I am partial to the black shirts with the gold ink, but that back print ranks high up o n the scale for me. I will certainly be bidding against you on this one.

How bad do I wish there had been back prints on both tees here from droog76? I could have simply put the crossed hockey sticks with the SBC logo and written literally nothing, and it still would have been awesome. Mid 90s Boston in effect here. The SBC shirt is probably from the 94-95, I know I have a tour 94 longsleeve with this print. Into it. Slapshot and Sam Black Churck. What a combo. I wonder if they ever played any gigs together …
