Why Buy This When You Can Buy This:

Apologies to enjoid3, but this Wrong Side tee was a terrible, horrible idea. I should know: I designed this abortion. Don’t buy it unless you’re a completist.

No sir, don’t buy it. Especially since due to popular demand, for a limited time you can head over to Shop Shogun and buy the revamped version from last months show with Cro-mags:

Fresh for 2011 you suckas!

True Stories Of Fake Racism.

A true story about this Shop Shogun sold Wrong Side tee from acrucialdood, and one I can indirectly back up as legit.

it was awkward in college getting on the campus bus wearing this not knowing one state over there was a pretty big news story involving a hangman’s noose (a lynch mob noose is not the same as a hangman’s noose- ed) and some racially-charged speech. NO WONDER THEY ALL LOOKED AT ME WITH DISDAIN! true story.

Why can I back this up as legit without having been there? Flashback to Edge Day 2007, when I got a phone call mid-show (I was in NY, not at that years show). One of my friends happened to be wearing this tee, and the National Geographic producer started telling at him, wanting to know why him wearing a racist shirt was tolerated and lecturing him over it being offensive. Which I thought was hilarious, since there is nothing inherently racist about a noose or a hanging. But this has must have been around the same time as the incident mentioned in the seller’s story, so I totally believe that a public bus would get you just as many dirty looks. Punk fn’ rock, I guess. Shame my friend arguing with the producer didn’t make it into that crappy show…

Underdog Longsleeve: One Hour To Go.

You know, I never could decide whether or not this Underdog longsleeve was an old tee, or one of the ones from Shop Shogun, where this design is described as exclusive. Exclusive reprint or exclusive design, I have been unable to ascertain. Seller vinylrites says it came from an older friend, and describes it as “old and amazing”, but if it’s a Shogun tee it’s only the latter. I went back and forth many, many times, and in the end I dawdled so long that there’s only a little over an hour left for you to take a shot at it… tho full disclosure, it stayed at $4.99 and no bids until this afternoon, so my overwhelming desire to get an Underdog l/s for cheap probably had more than a little to do with me not posting it til now.

Wrong Side Tees.

Seller setitoff101 brings us a couple Wrong Side tees today, both of which you can acquire in differing color schemes than these (and for the Cornerstone rip, sans As One Fest specific back print) from the fine folks at Shop Shogun.

The above design was debuted at United Blood, and then sold through Mission Merch as crew necks, tanks and tees, in both this blue and a gray colorway (there was also an XL white crew neck with purple and I think yellow ink that was auctioned off to the highest bidder at UB), and as mentioned the Cornerstone rip off was sold at As One Fest, in Red Sox and Mets colorways. And yes, I know the font is wrong. Reason did the layout for me because I couldn’t find a good scan of the Cornerstone guy, and then he in turn couldn’t find the matching font. But I think he came pretty damn close.

American Nightmare – No Longer Produced

When I saw the BIN price that honorablejudgeito had given this American Nightmare tshirt, I immediately though shop shogun. And when I saw the seller say “no longer produced anymore,” I immediately surfed over to shopshogun to disprove their claim. But you know what? They were right. Shop Shogun didn’t remake this design. Who knew? I even checked theb9. Not there either. Hard to believe. This one came out shortly before the whole GUTG name change fiasco. I seem to remember these being sold mostly on one of their euro tours. Not a lot seemed to make it back to the US. So, here’s your chance.

Streetfight.

This is actually my first time seeing this Breakdown shirt, courtesy of taylorkc, and I’m guessing it’s a pretty recent design…

Two things stick out that rule almost immediately: the Big Mac pocket print, and the nun smashing someone in the face with knuckle dusters on the back. Ill. Also for sale is this Causin’ Mad Trouble in ’88 reprint…

…though as I pointed out a week or so ago, not only has Shop Shogun reprinted these, they’ve also given you the option of getting them as a ringer tee. Super ill, I can’t wait for mine to get here.

Love Comes Close

Call me crazy, but I don’t get a few things going on here. First up, there is a Buy It Now on this tshirt. Normally, I would think it wasn’t super outrageous, but there are a few key factors that are swaying me. First, this shirt was purchased in 2010 at Fuck Yeah Fest, so says ghostridedasquid. Second, the shirt has purposely distressed. Stretched out and beat to look old. Rather than a shirt from 2010. Who does that? Third, I don’t get Cold Cave. I’m listening to Cremations, and it’s blowing my mind. Do not get. And even better, my dog is whimpering. He’s not into these tunes at all. Death Comes Close sounds good so far though. I can hang with this. We shall see. Anyone interested in a distressed shirt? If you are looking for some non-distressed tee, check out the Cold Cave estore on Shop Shogun.

Giveaway: Supertouch Tshirt

A few weeks back, Anthony from In My Eyes put together a webstore for some new merch on Shop Shogun. Great stuff, no doubt. I was particularly psyched because he also listed some old prints, one of which I didn’t have. I talked to AP, and we worked out a deal. A few weeks later, the print showed up. So good.

BUT, not only did a print show up, but I also received a second package with a tshirt in it! You know I love tshirts, and this one happened to be free. You can’t beat free, and you know this, man. I was expecting one of the new In My Eyes shirts, but instead, I received a Supertouch shirt. How about that? Pretty awesome, right?

It was awesome until I got inside and found better lighting. Some freaking joker over at Shop Shogun had sent me a NAVY shirt!!! The inhumanity, the outrage, the navy shirt of it all. My hatred is now your gain. I’m giving this shirt away in a contest. This one is a twitter contest so get your tweets lined up.

All you need to do is tweet the following message and fill in the blank.

Attn @shop_shogun, navy shirts stink, I prefer ____. #ttdcontest

Yeap, just fill in your favorite color tee, and tweet away. Easy as that. I’ll pick a winner on Thursday. Have at it.

PS. I heard Supertouch is recording a new EP. Anyone heard it??

Happy Edge Day (Observed)

In honor of Edge Day (Observed) and Edge Day (in general), In My Eyes have put up a new estore on ShopShogun. Not only can you find the IME gear shopshogun has had for the last few years, but you can also find some new designs that Anthony did for the occasion. Check it out! I’d say this one is my favorite.

Not only that, but AP must have cleaned out his own personal stock because he put up some other limited gems from years past. First up is this great screen print done by Damian. I’m pretty certain this was for a record release gig (Bane, I think), but my memory sucks.

Next up is another screen print. This one is from the west coast tour. I actually don’t own this one and will probably be dipping over to shop shogun in a minute to snag it.

And if that wasn’t enough West Coast fun, you could always snag this great tour shirt (don’t mind the missing letters. They all did that) from viciousskin.

Mets vs Red Sox. In CT.

So, earlier today I said that I didn’t like posting Wrong Side merch unless I did the art or had a story. Well, ruffryderz1023 has one more TWS shirt ending today, and I figured what the hell, we didn’t make a lot of these, why not.

What isn’t mentioned in the description is that this is a Cornerstone rip off. Hopefully most of you knew that already. As is always the case with design ideas I have that require computer work, I turned to my man Jay Reason to help work out the mechanics, but unfortunately he couldn’t quite match the font, so it’s slightly off from the original. Why a Cornerstone rip off? Well, a. they were awesome, duh, and b. we were playing a fest in CT, duh.

As One Fest 2008. We were 24 hours away from having it be an OG line up, but alas Dookie could only play on Saturday and we were scheduled for Sunday. Biggie bum out there, but Cooch did a solid job filling in. If I had my druthers we would have opened with Connecticut Crucial Kickbox, but that was not to be. We did the shirts in 2 color schemes: Mets and Red Sox. The Mets ones were sold only at the fest, but the Red Sox version is still available from the good folks at Shop Shogun, so if you want one, go grab one. But if you want the Mets colorway? You have only a few hours before this one ends.
