There’s blood in the water

If you see blood in the water you should probably go to the doctor. There could be a few causes. First if it is in your stool it could be one of the following Colorectal Cancer, Crohns Diesase,Uclerative Colitis or even a Hemorrhoid. Second if it is in your urine it could be Hematuria or UTI maybe even cancer. These are serious things that need some attention. 13daysaweek on the other hand saw blood in the water but it was due to a Shark Attack.

Shark Attack

I think its safe to say that Shark Attack is responsible for the popularity of Antidote in the present day. I feel like there wasnt a real buzz about them until Shark Attack covered “foreign job lot” at one of the edge day Y2X show. I feel like after that everyone was talking about how great Antidote was, etc… I know that like redemtion87 covered them as well but no one seemed to really care. Im not saying some people wernt saying that before just that it really took off after that. So thank you Shark Attack for $4-500 record prices.
On to the band though. I really like these records to this day. They hold up real well and make me a bumout that Shark Attack never made another 7″ or an LP. They always had dope shirts too. I wouldnt wear it but I love their take on the Iron Cross design with the shark attacky edges. This one is brought to us again by mahabysdad

Afternoon Not-BIN’s.

BIN’s aren’t the only thing that copiousamounts has going for him; he also has many regular auctions as well, though some of these probably had BIN’s once upon a time… an Annihilation Time, if you will.

We’ve had a bunch of similar looking SBS shirts up in the last week or so, but this one is a longsleeve. And this one from IME? It’s a hoodie.

Hello ladies…

This last one you can def get this one from Rev still, but one from Rev won’t come with stains.

Triple Record Release Prints

In the world of prints, matching numbers are cool. Getting 3 prints with matching numbers always increases the inherent value. And usually, AP (artist proofs) are even more valuable.

When Linas dropped these 3 prints for sale at the 3 record release shows, kids were murdering each other to get one. Somehow, I ended up with an Artist Proof of one print. I was pretty happy with it. Others, I have seen with matching sets. I think Kurt Wilson may have the 3 neatly framed. It was quite a classy production.

American Nightmare, Death Threat, Shark Attack. 3 great B9 releases. A real big day for Bridge 9 records, that’s for sure. I’m pretty positive I went to this gig, but my mind is blanking on it. I’m positive it was at the Met Cafe, but I’ve gone completely blank. Someone clue me in. March 18, 2002 (oddly, 3 days prior, I saw an excellent gig at the Palladium, Some Kind of hate, Horror Show, Count me Out, Panic, and American Nightmare). I can’t imagine I would have skipped such a gig …

As far as matching prints go, you’ll have to keep looking. vvvvvmarkvvvvv is selling 2 prints with matching numbers BUT not all 3. And animlstc is selling 2 prints which you could use to make all 3 match, but sadly, no matching numbers there. Keep digging for those matches!

IRON CROSS!

Well, not the band.

But the actual object as depicted on various hardcore tees.

I think the Iron Cross gets a bad wrap as most people associate it with Hitler and Nazis. Not so, really. It’s much, much older than that. In fact, it’s Prussian in origin, not Germanic (if you want to get nit-picky). It was an award for outstanding bravery and valor. These are certainly traits worth having.

Hitler ruined a lot of crap, no doubt. But he certainly can’t ruin how awesome these bands are.

Fuck Nazis. Fuck Hitler. Fuck Racism. Fuck all that stupid shit.

Shark Attack crewneck

We had one on here a month ago and I forgot to bid. I might go after this one even though its an L. Simple graphic on a crewneck. Im sold. Both of the eps they put out are still holding up to the test of time. Rather well actually. I wish they stayed around long enough to put out an LP.

Shark Attack Blood In The Water Tee

Shark Attack is cool. Philly Hardcore at a peak, for sure.

Donating money to charities is cool.

What better way to donate money to a charity than by winning a rad Shark Attack shirt?

That’s just fucking cool. Kudos to the seller.

Shark Attack crew neck

I honestly have no recollection of this sweatshirt ever existing. With that being said, I really love a crew neck AND I really love the shark attack artwork. Seems like a win-win situation right? If only she was an XTRA large…if only.

Shark Attack – First Tee

9 years ago (and a day), I attended the final In My Eyes show in Andover, MA. This show was obviously labeled Edge Day (Observed). For many, many obvious reasons. I remember rolling up on the gig anticipating a great day, just endless fun, a million bands and a million friends. Here was the lineup:

Shark Attack (two songs), Killing Flame, Mouthpiece, Bane, In My Eyes (last show), Ten Yard Fight (a few songs)

Seriously, mind blowing. As we rolled up to the gig, the whole crowd was sitting on the floor watching some movie. We had no idea what was going on. It felt like some weird anti moshing mid 90s gig. But then we realized everyone was watching the Ten Yard Fight discography. It gave me chills, in a good way.

And then, some unknown band kicked off the gig with 2 songs. Some band I had never heard of and didn’t realize were actually on the bill. Who were these dudes? Who was this Philly crew? When they kicked in, Philly came out in force and moshed like crazy nutters. It was literally insane. That was my introduction to Shark Attack.

I wouldn’t see Shark Attack again for many months, but the next go around was EVEN bigger for them.

June 2001 @ Mass Art Boston Mass: Stop And Think (first show), American Nightmare, Shark Attack, Panic

This show literally blew the doors off of Mass Art. I can’t recall if they ever did another show in that smaller room again. It was literally crazy from start to finish. Great mosh.

This is the first tee they produced and according to the seller, is likely the very first one ever screened as it has a few “untaped off red dots.” One of a kind Shark Attack merch. Awesome.
