Official Cold World Merch

Yesterday, we posted up some unofficial Cold World merch. Today, I’m posting up some official Cold World Merch. Just in time for the summer. First up is this tank that was available at Sound And Fury Fest back in 2008. Now, brutalhxckid is selling because it’s “too big for him.” It’s only a medium. And it’s a tank. How big can it be??

Next up is the mixtapes design from seller nocs62. This one comes from MerchNow. Not sure if the one on ebay has all the prints (back and sleeve). But if you are a big guy, could be a good scoop.

And finally, the graffiti tshirt from seller billalk3. Honestly, I wouldn’t buy this shirt from him. You want to know why? Because my good friend Tre of Deathwish Inc still has the shirts available. Why don’t you go and buy a BRAND NEW ONE and support the band & label directly? Do it.

Mongo-Lloyds

Now this tshirt is just funny. Enough to generate 1.21 Gigawatts of laughter**? Perhaps. Looking forward to the merch bonanza that will be The Mongoloids at Sound And Fury Fest. Honestly, I can’t wait. Any predictions on the gag shirts or next level shit they will bring? I’m not sure if anything can surpass the “We Told You Verse Wouldn’t Be Straight Edge Next Year” tshirt, of course. But I have HIGH HOPES!

Check out the rest of the auctions from champion_xxx. Some great stuff in there.

** Sorry for the terrible pun. Wasn’t sure how else to tie it back to Doc Brown. Continue reading »

Bane Skull Logo

Back in 2001, Bane put together a tshirt for their Devil’s Night record release gig. They made a black tshirt with orange and white ink. The front appeared to be a normal logo tee, but they flipped it up a bit for that Devil’s Night theme. They replaced the normal hole in the “A” with a skull. It was a subtle switch which really worked for them. Shirts flew off the table, and mosh occurred. For the next few months and tours, they then dropped some one sided skull “A” logo tees. It only lasted a few months so not too many are floating around out there. This is one of them. You could probably scoop it for cheap since the sellerdoesn’t really point out this difference. Do it.

Hopefully Bane will have similarly awesome tees at this years Sound And Fury Fest. They aren’t really a band to do special fest tees, but for Sound And Fury, who knows?

Unofficial Cold World Merch

Lately, we’ve seen a lot (and I mean A LOT) of bogus Cold World Merch up on ebay. Our latest example comes from nowhereusa90. This tank is nyet legit. The keywords in the auction should be “received from Greg Mongo.” At least, if you ask the seller, that’s what they’ll tell you. Sigh. The only legit versions of this design are on a black short sleeve with “Going Back 2 Cali” on the back AND a grey crewneck. Fuckin love a crewneck!

Next up is this piece. Of course, this isn’t really Cold World merch at all. But someone asked me, so I figured I would clear it up. This is ALSO bogus merch. But instead of bogus Cold World merch, it’s bogus Supreme merch. Back in 07 (or so), Supreme had a big winter campaign centered around the phrase “Cold World.” They did beanies, tees, hoods and some jerseys. This is NOT one of those official jerseys. This appears to be some weirdo Nike ID jersey with home “Supreme Team” screened on it.

Your best bet? Buy DIRECT from the band. In fact, they’ll be playing Sound And Fury Fest. You know they’ll have some ill limited merch fest gear. You can count on Cold World for that. And if you can’t wait a month, head over to the Deathwish Inc estore, and satisfy your CW gear urges. Continue reading »

Rival Mob?

The other day, I was chastised for not pointing out some terrible photo qualities. Today, I will make up for that. Thankfully, rulereporter64155 will help me redeem myself. Check this Rival Mob tee. At least, I think it’s a Rival Mob tee. That’s what the title says after all. The picture may not lead you to believe me. That’s fine, but that IS what the title says. The graphic is pretty intricate even for one color. But you’d never know that from the pic. Blurry, far off, poor balance. The only thing missing from this picture are hairy toes. In reality, the picture is a better shot of the quilt than than the tee.

Better plan? Hit up The Rival Mob merch table at Sound And Fury Fest and buy straight from the band. I’m predicting some ill SAF merch from this band. I’m picturing BIG LOC logos, maybe a crucified @GrillosPickles skin, lots of good ideas here. Looking forward to it.

Sound Off: Sound And Fury Fest

As you all know, we’re really gearing up around here for the big fest later in July. Our bags are already packed (despite the gig being a month off). We don’t care. That’s how excited we are. So we want you all to sound off.

Leave a comment below telling us if you are going, if you have tickets already and what band you are most looking forward to see. This will enter you into TWO contests. Yes TWO contests. That’s how we do things around here. We’ll let this contest run until Tuesday June 29. But don’t sleep.

Our first contest has an immediate prize. How about a Free Spirit tshirt in XL?

If you aren’t an XL, I still have that bin of tees so don’t feel like you’ll be excluded. We really want to hear from everyone.

A second person will be entered into a contest that might really appeal to people who want to attend Sound And Fury Fest but have still not bought tickets yet. Hmmm, I wonder what that prize might be? But you are going to have to work a little for this one. In the coming week, expect some S&F specific trivia questions.

Can You Hear Me? Loud And Clearly

Normally when I listen to music, I like a little #PMA. Approved topics include: The Straight Edge, Brotherhood, Stage Dives, Equality, Anti-Racism, Pits of Equality (which is just a mixture of Equality and Stage Dives, really), … But something about Title Fight will fucking grab you. Sure, most songs seem to be about girls or shitty friends that turn their back on you. Then again, maybe that category falls under anti-Brotherhood. Whatever their formula, I dig it. I’ve seen them once now. Once is obviously not enough. I was looking forward to seeing them this year at Sound And Fury Fest, but fuck. They aren’t playing. Waaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh. I’ve already reprimanded (severely) the SAF crew, don’t worry.

For you medium dudes, bridgesandgaps has your hookup.

No need to feel left out, you 2XL fans. setitoff101 has your back.

There Is Only One Truth

After my last boffo on the Sound And Fury 2010 band mention, I’ve double and tripled checked this one. Strife IS definitely playing. So what we have here are TWO truths. Truth #1. Strife is playing. We have that covered. Truth #2. I bet the guys in Strife don’t look like this anymore.

Just kidding. Minus a mustache on Rick, of course. Also, if you haven’t checked out Drew Strife’s shop, Tradition, you better go ahead and go on over there now.

ps. Does anyone know who driada_ifni is? There is a consistent amount of gems coming from this seller. Continue reading »

Trash Talk & Weed

Here’s a great Trash Talk tshirt from nicholashampson. This one was picked up at last years Sound And Fury Fest. I’ll be stoked to see what Trash Talk brings out this year. Not sure about you, but this tshirt reminds me of that band Bongzilla. Maybe that’s just me or the obvious reference. All told, I’ve probably heard Bongzilla more than Trash Talk, courtesy of living with Chachi for a while. My current roommate (aka my wife), doesn’t listen to a lot of Trash Talk. Odd, right?

Looking forward to seeing Trash Talk at this years Sound And Fury Fest. It’s possible that I’ve never seen Trash Talk before this. Double odd, right?

Sweaty Heaven

soulcraft1977 and winterveil know what’s up! Everyone loves some sweatpants. Crazy Dump Guy is down. Actually, two weeks ago, he was wearing a Dump Tuxedo. Yeah, that’s right. A Dump Tuxedo. He was wearing a polo shirt! For the dump, he might as well have been wearing a tuxedo. Fanciest guy there, that’s for sure. He hooked the dogs up. Good stuff.

And what do you know? Two out of three of these bands are also playing Sound And Fury Fest. This will be the first year for Naysayer, but at this point, The Mongoloids are SAF pros! They’ve played 2007, 2008, 2009 and now 2010. Not bad, right? Mongos will play Friday and Naysayer is Saturday. Best just get the weekend pass.
