Backtrack Crumbsuckers rip off shirt

At the Madball show on Sunday, Paul from Suburban Scum was wearing this shirt. I told him how I liked it and it was a good rip off shirt and he told me that he actually did the shirt. They wanted a Crumbsuckers rip off and this is what he did, pretty straight to the point and I like it a lot. soulcraft1977 is selling this one. I would love to own the actual Crumbsuckers one.

Hardcore has a long of history of the rip off shirt. It wasn’t too long before someone took the next step and started producing Straight Edge rip off designs. Keep in mind, the mid 90s was pre-rip off design shirts. I’m not sure if there weren’t enough old shirts to play on, or if kids had more obscure imaginations back then (fuck it, I’ll go with obscure. How many normal people would come up with prints located near the kidney or on the front hip bone? Serious weird stuff there). The mid 90s began the big trend for Straight Edge. I mean, seriously, check out some of these designs from redhand712, talibanmatt and x23mjx.

Motel XXX? Is this a straight edge shirt or some weirdo pr0n tee? The back would lead me to believe SXE, but who knows …

Mastercard. Classic rip off. Priceless, some would say.

This one isn’t so much of a rip off, really. Just a statement of fact. I should probably get one of these for JayBil. USHCPS.

I listed these designs from most offensive to least offensive. The hood might be ok, but it’s hard to tell what’s going on with that font. Some sellers should just lay items flat. That might work much better here.

Seller luigithunders mostly goes in for random vintage items, but every so often he sneaks a punk or hc related shirt in there…

This is probably the only corporate rip off shirt from the 90s that didn’t make my skin crawl, largely because of the lyrics to So Ends Our Night.

We’ve had TUI’s AF rip off shirt design up on here before, but never in the version that savagelacix631 is selling…

White on black, long sleeve, tour dates… much more of a total package then the plain white tee version. Yet, I think that’s the one I prefer. It has a simplicity that I enjoy. Either way though, it’s still one of the more creative rip off designs to be done in recent years. You’re good either way.

No seriously, I’m asking you. It’s been a long time since I’ve actually seen this shirt, and it turns out I was misremembering it as being the old Black Bart pirate flag. Obviously it’s not, since that’s clearly Uncle Sam and a shovel not ol’ Barty and an hourglass. So where’d it come from? Knowing Dave it was something old timey and historically cryptic…

As I hope we all know by know, patrick166 is really the infamous slavko. Of course, when I was setting up my posts for the week at 3am Monday morning, I let that fact slip right by me, and saved a whole bunch of auctions to our library to share with you through out the week. Auctions for stuff like this sweet Leeway Euro tour longsleeve…

And even a couple nice metal tees, like this Entombed longsleeve, and this Slayer tee from the Reign In Pain tour.

There was even a well worn puffy lettered Chain Of Strength shirt up for a hot minute (it has since disappeared). So much good stuff, from a seller that is a total crap shoot. Such a bum out. But since I uploaded it all, I figured I might as well post it for anyone who might want to try their luck.

If that’s you, then more power to you, and a hearty buyer beware.

Feel like getting ripped off? Then head on over to seller nerveagent’s store (make sure to check the buyer list on his gibson guitar). This dude has slowly slipped into scumville. You may recall seller patrick166 from a lot of high end items. This would be Slavko. Over the years, he’s been a good seller, a rip off, a good trader and scum. At this point, it seems like he’s in his scum phase. You’ll notice a lot of his items are getting bid up by a buyer with the name i***z ( 31). This would be the buyer lilislotbiz. In My Eyes … Er … Way

A few years back (hahah, it was FIVE years ago), I reviewed the In My Way EP on HowsYourEdge.com. At the time, I focused mostly on the visual aspect. With obvious reason.

Read the comments on HYE. Danny from the band chimed in. He laughed about the visual aspect, he said he never realized how similar to In My Eyes it was. Jordo, not as impressed with my review.

But they released all of these shirts, baltimorestyle13 comes with a trio of tees. Minus the XXX / DC vibe on the one shirt, I’d say all of them bear a pretty passing resemblance to In My Eyes tees. What do you think?

Murphys Dew

I am a huge Murphys Law fan. First HC band I ever went to see. I love a good Murphys law shirt unfortunatly this is not one of them. Ugg a maroon shirt. That might have been the most popular mid 90s color next Hunter Green and Natural. I think the only maroon shirt I do want is a Unit Pride shirt on maroon(they came on maroon right? I feel like ive seen them before). On top of this being a maroon shirt its a rip off of an extreme soda. Display this in your closet proudly next to your snapcase snapple shirt.

Turning Point Beastie Boys Tee

The Beastie Boys mid 80s logo, done proper by Turning Point.

Great look. Classic two colors on a white tee with a live shot on the back. You can’t fuck with that.

I’ve always been partial to this Ill Communication Local Crew tee. I’m not knocking the old school logo, but something about this tee is a nice blend of mid 80s karate school and Beastie Boys pride. Didn’t LOJ make a tee like this?
