Sketchy Children

Oh boy. This one from coinandpapermoney looks sketchy. First off, did Violent Children every actually make a shirt? I honestly don’t recall ever having seen or heard of a legit one. CT heads, speak up. Second, if you are using a semi high res graphic as your image of a “crazy rare” “old shirt” you “dug out,” the chances of it being real are pretty damn small. My guess, by “dug out” they mean, “screened two weeks ago and fell behind the dryer.” Third, if you have an XL and a SMALL available, there is no chance in hell this is legit. What band in the early to mid 80s made shirts on size small tees?

North Kingstown RI. I expect Tom Z or Casali to look into this.

PS. No diss on the graphic because the graphic is sick. If you’ve never heard of Violent Children, you are missing out. Beb Ray Cappo on drums. Get into it.

WOW!

(Disclaimer: it’s not my “wow!”, it’s tumblekids)

I have to admit, Shelter’s never been my favorite band. I think Mantra is a great pop album, and Jeremiah from Proclamation and I used to listen to Attaining The Supreme all the time on car rides way back when, but I never really got that into them. I saw them all of once: at the Space in Worcester in 96 or 97. Pretty much no one was there so Ray did a really cool thing and put 2 young dorks named Morgado and DFJ who he’d never met on the guest list for the next night in Providence. I didn’t go, DFJ did, now DFJ is a Hare Krishna. Go figure.

I really do dig it when Shelter uses actual Krishna artwork though. While I am not a super fan of the band, I AM a super fan of classical religious artwork.
