Buried Alive may have been drenched in disease but not bulldogs

This Buried Alive shirt was mass produced by Victory Records from about 1999 til 2005 (roughly and might still be sold). I have two of this same design and I have to say that I don’t think there are any signs of a certain bulldog present. casualtyofthejake looks to have kept this one in pretty shape. Buried Alive is still my favorite Vogel band…their set at Hellfest 2000 was ridiculous. Good times, great band.

This Is Hardcore: Reach The Sky

Sunday of This Is Hardcore is a pretty big one. One of my favorite bands ever is playing, Reach The Sky. Seriously, love this band. I can recall some of those early shows and the energy was always over the top. Over the years the energy waxed and waned, but it’s always a blast seeing them. I’d suggest you make sure to watch them later today.

Grab these Victory Records era tees (sans Bulldog) from daysarelikeknives.

Path Of Resistance!!! Straight Edge Justice!!!

The Path of Resistance record, “Who Dares Wins”, came out at the height of Earth Crisis’ popularity in 1996. ExC was coming off a tour when their van flipped, causing drummer Dennis Merrick to come out with a collapsed lung. Since the band couldn’t play until he was well, they started The Path, writing and recording a record and playing three shows before going on a 10 year hiatus. The shirt that makeeler85 brings us is from the one of the final Syracuse New Years Shows. This particular one is from 2008, features the “08″ on the back inside the chain logo. The band also sold this same design, minus the “08″, in an athletic gray but I kinda dig the red with the date. Both are in my collection so I won’t be bidding on this one…great look though. Straight Edge Justice!

Those Things That Meant So Much Don’t Mean A Thing To Me

As far as I can remember, this was the last shirt that Buried Alive had in their all too short career. I have a feeling that I’m in the majority when I say that Buried Alive is the best Scott Vogel band and let’s face it: Buried Alive was the best Vogel band. The energy, the power, the crowd reaction…Im still convinced that Vogel has ulcers while recording this record. No one could be that pissed off and not having stomach problems. localsonly! states that he was told this shirt was printed by Victory before the band split. I can’t remember this ever being printed by the label (no Bulldogs) and I could have swore it was a band printed design but I could be wrong. I’ve never seen this printed on an athletic gray before…the usual colorway was navy blue with the same red print. The lyrics are from the song “Engraved” which was on their last release “Last Rites”, a collection of pre-album demos and live tracks.

Where’re Your Dogs At?

No dogs up on this, and we like that. Granted, the sleeve print is a dead giveaway, but you know what? I can live with that. It’s not offensive to me. And given how crisp xdaytonx has kept this Strife hood, I have no room for complaints. Not even the lack of string can bring me down. Usually I forget to bid on items, but this time, I’m totally going to remember to bid on this one.

Anyone catching Strife in South America? Let us know how you are digging them.

WarZone – Wound Up

Here’s an interesting piece. I honestly don’t remember Victory putting out WarZone watches, or Strife or Earth Crisis, for that matter, but according to melissajason2010, that’s what we are looking at here. If you don’t want to pony up for an x-rated swatch, I’d think this would be your second best accessory. You’ll be please to notice it features ZERO bulldogs. It has a crack (not that you could tell from the one pic) so you are taking your chances with that BIN. If you win, I want more pics.

Death To False Metal

It’s not quite Metal Monday yet so I feel safe posting up this Deadguy shirt from televisioneyez. Death To False Metal. Not sure who Deadguy considers false metal really… especially since their sound isn’t really metal at all. Sure, it’s more metal hardcore than anything else, but it’s definitely not tried and true metal. Check this video and tell me if you agree.

Great tshirt. No tag is a bummer but acceptable. One Life, Bulldog Free!

Red, White and … Navy

You know how you can write to your senator to complain about local issues? Or you could write to your govenor or school board or lunch lady? In that vein, is there anyone I can write to about the glut of excellent hardcore shirts printed on GOD DAMN NAVY tshirts? This injustice has to stop. For instance, let’s look at this amazing Reach The Sky tshirt from baca1231. I don’t recall seeing this design before, but I would say it’s near perfect. 13 star flag, great fonts, “American Hardcore,” … pretty much everything I could ask for in a tshirt. But there is an obvious glaring issue. Yeck.

So who knows when this shirt dropped? Later victory era? I can’t plae it.

Where My Dogs At?

From 20 feet back, you’d probably think this shirt was littered in bulldogs. But you’d be wrong. Those sleeves have some caveman artwork on them instead. Different? Yes. Weird? Very much so. In fact, the only little bulldoggy is a thin outline on in the backprint.

Make sure you check out the rest of 26taylortheu’s auctions as he has some excellent mid 90s gems. Not only does he have gems, but he usually attaches a good story to each auction. Take this Snapcase longsleeve.

SNAPCASE TOUR SHIRT FROM 1993. I THINK THEY PLAYED WITH MEAN SEASON, OUTSPOKEN, AND SOMEONE ELSE. I DON’T REMEBER. MY EX-WIFE BOUGHT ME THIS SHIRT AS SHE LOVED THIS BAND. NO HOLES OR STAINS. ONLY WORN MAYBE ONCE TO KEEP HER FROM NAGGING ME TO DEATH. REALLY GOOD SHAPE FOR BEING ALMOST 20 YEARS OLD.

Now that’s just awesome. “To keep her from nagging me.” LOL.

WTF? Snapcase Windbreaker

At TTD, we’ve seen our fair share of shitty pics.

Pics with gnarly toes.

Pics that have a vomit inducing amount of shake.

Pics with cats swarming over the tees

We’ve seen it all, but this one may be the worst.

Sure, it’s isn’t shaky, and there are no cats or grizzly toes. But in reality, it’s just black shiny. I can’t even tell if this jacket is full zip, 1/4 zip, hooded, longsleeve, short sleeve, kangaroo pocket … These are things I look for in pictures of items I’m buying.

If I didn’t know any better, I would think this jacket was placed on some player’s black satin sheets with a mirror above. I just don’t get it.

PS ooooofff at that font.
