I was sitting and looking at this Murphys Law shirt that lml-fluffernutter-lml is selling and its pretty tame. The seller says he got it in 96 at a show in New Jersey and DKM opened for them… oh how the tables turn. I don’t know if there is a band that has had more people play in it than Murphys Law.

You should be familiar with this design by now. Klaas says one of these is a misprint out of 30 given to friends, im sure thats true but i havent heard that story before. The live pic is the same on both shirts, just on the front on one and the back on the other. He is right though, that sleeve print is sick.

OG Floorpunch Tee

I was asked the other day about the value of Floorpunch tees. I responded that most of the items had been slipping due to all the reprints. Not a bad thing, just how it is. Remember that second “last” gig at the Church in Philly? When Hoodrack opened that box of tees, it looked like he was handing out $100 bills. Kids were mobbing that joint. Fast forward, now you can get all those items on merchnow. But the thing with this tshirt from evil74 that sets it apart — the BLACK FOTL Best tag. Black. When was the last time you saw a BLACK FOTL tag? Probably the late 90s … So go ahead and pick this one up. Possibly one of the best colors this shirt came in (not that any bad colors slipped out …).

Floorpunch – Play Like A Champion Longsleeve

I gotta declare ignorance on this Floorpunch longsleeve. I honestly can’t recall ever seeing that front graphic before. The back graphic is obviously recognizable, but I don’t recall seeing the pocket print before. jerzshore732 says he picked it up in 98 or 99, but is unsure. I’m hoping Brett or TDT can pipe in and clear this one up. Great looking longsleeve.

Jersey’s Best Prancers

Another embarrassing story. This one is about how I learned and began to love The Ergs. Yeah, I know. They are some punk band, not core. Not straight edge (or are they? I don’t know, I wouldn’t guess they are). Not crucial. But fuck, so catchy. I’m a sucker for catchy.

So my embarrassing story. I was helping a user on thecollectionspace.com get his pics up. It was still very beta and there were a few issues and hoops. I was helping him jump, but it was taking a while so we were shooting the shit about records and shows. He was telling me about how he still gets out to a lot of shows despite being the father of a teenager. That impressed me. It can’t be easy. He began telling me about this band he wasn’t into but his teenage daughter was. They were going to the final show together, and he was psyched for that father / daughter bonding time. The band turned out the be The Ergs. Based on this conversation, I hit up their site and was shocked how great it was.

I’m not sure how many shirt designs they did over the years, but I’m guessing you can’t go wrong with a logo tee. And destroynewjersey is selling two of them. The first one is one of the first, and the blue one is newer. You’d never know either way, right? Good stuff.

Floorpunch Final, Final, Final Show

Floorpunch played another “final” gig last night. From all accounts, it was another great one. If I hadn’t spent all last weekend driving over the northeast I would have rolled down. Oh well. Apparently they had quite the stock of merch this time around. Lots of tees with moshers, some longsleeves, hoods and even the crewneck. You know I love a crewneck. This one from Apps comes from the previous final Floorpunch gig. Such a good look. If my boy Naidoo hadn’t snagged me a crewneck yesterday, I would be ALL over this one.

With a Name Like That, It’s Gotta Be The Mongoloids

Strawberry jam is probably my favorite of all jams. Nothing against grape or raspberry but for my money, it’s got to be Strawberry. Add a banana and some Teddy’s Peanut Butter, and you’ve got yourself a fine sandwich.

One of the dudes (or more?) work in a deli in New Jersey now. Run by another Murphy. Good dude. Also, good luck trying to get a peanut butter and jelly sandwich at a deli. Even better, good luck trying to get a peanut butter and banana sandwich at a deli. And don’t get me started on peanut butter and honey. Ugh, fuck that.

Any idea why this tee is already up to $15.50 only 2 hours into the 7 day auction??

I love this Floorpunch shirt.

For a while, it was my second most wanted FP shirt (current most wanted tee would be the red Temptation longsleeve. Someone hook me up). Such a great shirt. Good use of sleeve print on an already classic tee.

This one would have me fighting people to win if it wasn’t for a few things.

Ouch. I understand punkers are down for Anarchy, but shit, that’s just wrong. He probably tried setting the Bill of Rights on fire earlier that day. Weak shit.

However, there was retribution.

Same punk left two small washed out blood stains on the back when I hit him in his dumb drunk face.

Revenge is sweet.

This shirt ends in a few hours, so quit sleeping.

Floorpunch Windbreaker

The running joke used to be that “Europe AND Connecticut were 5-6 years behind everyone else.” I can’t vouch for Europe, but I’ve been to many shows in CT. During the late 90s, it seemed like kids in CT still thought it was 1993. So many striped shirts, big beads and jncos. Almost like those japanese ww2 warriors who never heard the war was over.

This jacket brings it back to the late 90s. And oddly, it was only sold in Europe. I’m just not sure how well these would sell currently in the US. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe they’d sell like hotcakes. Granted, anything with the Floorpunch branding sells like hotcakes.

If you don’t live in Europe, and you feel like restarting a trend, I suggest snagging this jacket. You can’t really go wrong with this design. Shout out to CDaily!

Mouthpiece XXX Tee

I love this shirt.

I had one in black a few years ago. I got it from my good friend Chachi. You may recognize him as the dude finger pointing on the cover of the Ten Yard Fight Back On Track LP. Or the dude in the purple Burn shirt on the Strife video. If you don’t know, you don’t know. Great dude.

I forget the exact trade, but I don’t think it was as good as the Dropdead 8-track trade, or the Spazz 5″ (was that it? Shit, my memory sucks) trade he had going with Tre. Nah, probably way more mundane than those trades.
