These Cold World champion mesh shorts that dsprau is selling look so comfy, every time I see them on eBay I almost want to bid on them. I love comfy mesh shorts for pajamas and softball and I wish that I owned more. At first I thought the $39.99 BIN was a little high, but then I remembered the last pair that was posted went for a good amount of money.

Gym shorts V.The First Step and Cold World

Now The First Step was a band that I never really got into. A lot of my friends like them and I’ve seen them a few times. Regardless of really caring about the band, I like these shorts that gdoggondaroof is selling. I’m a big fan of simple designs and I like meshy shorts, they are comfy and a softball staple of mine.
If I had to choose between these two shorts I would pick the Cold World ones that no-other-way is selling. Not just because I like Cold World, but because black usually wins over navy (at least I think they are navy) in my book. I don’t wear a ton of navy and it would be harder to match for me.
They are both Champion shorts.

Just kidding, you fuckers. There have been a lot of This Is Hardcore posts lately, and I’m sure you are all wondering when they’ll end. Probably never. Kids love flipping lately. But these Blacklisted shorts aren’t from TIH. No sir. They are from a fest, but it isn’t TIH. leewayyy picked them up at that other Pennsylvania fest … Posi Numbers. I know you’ve heard of it. It was easily one of the best fests around. Better than Hell Fest, better than Michigan Fest, better than New Bedford Fest. Posi Numbers really took the fest to the next level. Crazy limited shirts and records. And even better, one excellent band after another. These were from the very last Posi Numbers. Check this lineup and tell me how fucking incredible it was.

Short Shorts

One time I saw Terror at the Palladium. The lineup was real odd, but it meant eating Nancy Changs with Pike and Larrabee. You can’t really go wrong with that crew, you know? So like I said, the lineup was odd. I just didn’t recognize any bands that were playing BESIDES Terror. The one band that stood out was All Shall Perish. I don’t recall their sound or any of their songs, but I’ll never forget their outfits.

Wow. My eyes burned for days. Apparently, they had raided the Warriors merch supply and got Warriors uniforms. No one wins here.I like that they were supporting the Warriors, but maybe next time, they’ll go with mesh shorts instead … Hopefully thisdeadhorse can hook them up.

In The Summertime

Summer is upon us. Nothing says summer like mesh shorts and the beach. Grab these from xchatomanx and hit the surf. The ocean is cool, but my favorite swim spot was always Bulls Rock in West Boylston. Now, it’s certainly off the books, since it’s a reservoir, but it was always a great spot for jumping and swimming. Way better than the train bridge in West Boylston. You had to walk out pretty far along a path, maybe a mile, but the end result was worth it. The water was deep and there were a few ledges to jump from. One about 4″, one 8″ and one more like 12-16″. Watching Lou do a gainer off the top was fucking impressive. I know we escaped from the hot bowels of Worcester many times to enjoy this spot. Always brought a great crew. What’s your favorite swim spot?

Ok, someone fill me in on these.

I am 100% certain that IME never made mesh shorts before they broke up.

Why am I so sure?

Because they broke up in 2000. NO ONE was making mesh shorts back then.

So who made these? Thunder Lizard or was it a Rev product? I know both created or reproduced a few items after the band broke up. Rev put out (and still has some available!!) this design on a navy tee (ugh, navy tees). But I can’t recall mesh shorts.

Fact. Sweet Pete hates shorts. I’ve know him for however many years (10+), and think I’ve only ever seen him wear shorts twice. That’s pretty impressive.

Post Thanksgiving Lay About

It’s the day after Thanksgiving here in America.

Most people have this day off. And after yesterday’s gluttony, most people need this day to recover.

Some over did the Apple Pie (me. Fuck, I love apple pie!), or the Turkey (not me. Go vegan), or the Football and Beer (sadly, the cable connection from the box to the tv was FUCKED and the 3 local stations that were playing the game were all wavy. The History Channel was crisp and clear, and I ended up catching up on the history of popcorn. Bah).

For some of us, today would be a good day to hit the gym (Eff those Black Friday gimmick sales).

Here’s to a smart gym look.

Floorpunch mesh shorts. A new look for 2009. These came from the reunion shows this summer. I really want a Floorpunch New Jersey tshirt in this design back in my life. Someone hook me up.

Rampage mesh shorts. If the Rampage demo doesn’t make you want to get jacked up, you better stick to the little yellow, plastic coated weights. Maybe get back to that spin class. Rampage is all about heavy dead lifts and squats until you puke. Never mind that Josh P now looks like your typical long distance runner. I’m sure Ben P still reps hard.
