Mailbox Report #2 Verbal Assault test shirt

WOAH baby. So this thing has been through the ringer. It looks like something you would throw away. Slow down there pal. This is a test shirt that the Verbal Assault guys did when they were first making shirts. Features the talking heads with cartoon bubble dialog boxes. I have never seen this design before.

The best thing about it is the cartoon dude verbally assaulting himself. He is wearing a R.I.X. shirt. Never have I seen that before either.

I am proud to have this shirt in my collection. Rhode Island has/had deep rooted connections with the hardcore goings on across the country, and Verbal Assault was a Rhode Island institution. The stories and memories that come along with this “rag” are priceless.

Thanks for allowing me to add this to my collection Brian. It will be cherished.

Mailbox report #1 Youth of Today Some Records shirt

OK, so here goes another feature that hopefully will be worth the read. If I get something cool in the mail, I will make a post about it with some info and pictures…

First up is a Youth of Today Some Records shirt. These babies were screened by Ray and his brother in their garage, and were sold at Some Records. Front print only, this baby has a slightly different fist style and all the quality of a home screened shirt. I doubt more than a few dozen of these were made, and this one came directly from Duane from Some records a few years back.

As the fist design is common, I would always advise you to purchase one of these from someone who has the history on it, and make sure it has the right shirt tag.

Classic Youth of Today style. This came to me as gift from the Luis Barrera estate.
