Ugly Shirt. Bought Online. Aka Mike Bird Benefit Tee

This is a weird auction from xxxbostons. The seller says, “size Large, in excellent condition brand new never worn. bought it online. ugly shirt.” Ok, there are two sides to this I suppose. If you don’t know, this shirt was created as a benefit for Mike Bird. There are many shirts that were created, and many benefits were held. This is a good thing. So side one, the seller wanted to donate money to this case and got a shirt out of it. Or side two, seller just saw a shirt with the name Terror and a giant LOC logo and wanted to make a buck. I’ve got the #PMA so I’m going with side one.

Tanks For The Memz

I had the good fortune to see Righteous Jams a LOT when they were playing. Every gig felt epic. You never knew what move Joey C was going to pull off next, or what cover might get thrown out there. Each set was memorable in its own way. Like that Cambridge Elks club gig where I almost got hit by a metal folding chair. Or that Raw Bar gig on Edge Day in 2005 (same day as the Astro / Cards game) where kids were stage diving off of pool tables. And the last time I saw them was literally down the street from my house. The Hudson Roller Rink. This show was a long one, a fest of sorts. It involved 6-7 bands and was a long one. But RJ was tight. It was also a strangely divided RJ set. When they played new songs, it was dead silent, no movement in the pit. When the played old songs, like Invasion, kids went bonkers. Like straight bat shit crazy. Then still for new songs. So weird. Great band. One of the best. One love to Joey C, DFJ, Cooch, CC, Scace and the whole crew that played in this band. Didn’t Greg Mental even play bass for a while??

FROM OUT OF NOWHERE COLD WORLD U.B. 2011

This Cold World shirt was sold at United Blood 2011. You gotta love Cold World first with all the Hip-Hop rips and now the early 90′s rock rips ( Soundgarden, Faith No More). I wish I could have gotten my hands on one of these. If anyone has a 2xl or even a Xl hit me up.

keara507 brings us the classic LOC logo on a white zip up hoodie. We may bitch about the bulldog a LOT on this site but we love the LOC. Look how much cooler it is? Look at how much of a better track record this label has? LOC rules all.

Free Spirit

One of my favorite shirts of the year. This is exactly what I look for in shirt I want to buy. Just nice and simple. The fact that the band actually rips doesnt hurt either. They put out a 7″ this year and its a banger. You can still pick it up directly through the label here –> TRIPLE B Records. There are only a few copies left before its OOP so act fast or end up paying more later. poule518 also has some other stuff up too to check out.

The LOC

I had a chance to chat Greg Mental up at the Triple B Records gig. Great gig. Good dude. We were talking about his record label, Lockin Out Records. I was asking him about that Rampage shirt with a different LOC logo to it. He informed me that a few bands actually had different LOC logos. I didn’t know. Or I didn’t recall. Here’s the break down. Rampage had one, Dead End Path and Justice. He may have said Terror, but my mind is mush. I can’t remember crap anymore. But this shirt from xxxbostons has the OG LOC log. 2004, stylee, yo.

Spumoni? WTF?

Oh boy. moltenchenoweth refers to this shirt as with “spumoni” colored ink. WTF is spumoni? I had to look it up. I had seriously never heard of it. Turns out, spumoni is a triple layered italian ice cream with nuts or candied bits. Who knew? I assumed the seller was italian, which is not the case. The seller is actually from Funland, United States. I’m guessing Funland is all about cannabis and a lack of Neapolitan ice cream. Strawberry, Vanilla and Chocolate. No brainer, good eats.

Weight Lifting or Too Much Rice?

sharpieadict claims he is selling this tee because it’s too small, “too much lifting weights i guess??” We all know the REAL reason though (and no, it’s not because he misspelled addict). It’s because he’s been eating too much rice, like those dudes in japan. It happens. Rice is good. Basmati, jasmine, long grain, brown rice, sticky rice, coconut rice … I can hang. I’m not throwing stones here. I love rice. Lets just be honest, though, ok? If I had to guess, I would say this is a Ben P drawing. I like the LOC nod, but would prefer the actual LOC logo. Would be happy with a giant one on the back …

Free Spirit shirt

Here is a chill color way of the Free Spirit Lockin Out shirt. It appears to be a little darker than what I would call Ice Gray, and that yellow print really looks good on that color shirt. $21 gets you into the game for this bad boy. I think this is my favorite combo other than the orange one.
