Step Forward … And Tell Us The Shirt Size!

Ugh. mentalxmental is playing with my emotions here. I need this Step Forward shirt in a size large or XL. But guess what? He didn’t list the size. Not in the description, not in the title, … no where. ARGH

Update: sorry, I’m a slow reader. The title calls it a large. Attention everyone else, do not buy this. It is mine. Thank you and have a good day.

Lockin Out Stacked Ice Cream

This Lockin Out tee from sixfeetunderrecords always brings back great memories! The early/mid 2000s were a great time to be in the northeast. So many good bands coming out of Boston. So many fun gigs. Most importantly so many good friends. I made a lot of new friends around that time that are still close friends to this day. Plus this shirt reminds me of ice cream and who doesnt like ice cream? Communists, thats who!

It’s Never Too Cold For A LOC Tank.

I know it isn’t summer time, but how is it possible that xkeepthewetdreamalivex’s Lockin’ Out tank top has only 1 measly bid with under 48 hours left to go? I mean, all things considered, it’s been unseasonably warm so far in 2012, so you could easily wear this. It’s not THAT cold. Or you could just live some place that’s warm year round. In which case, I hate you. Just a little bit.

Rival Mob. WarZone Rip. Huh?

I’m not sure where marcoygc1 gets his information, but how is this Rival Mob shirt a “warzone-ish rip?” I don’t get it. Because it’s got red and blue ink? C’mon, what (good) band has never release a red, white and blue tshirt? Solid look. I’ll see if I can get the artist to weigh in on his inspiration. Maybe I’m wrong. Maybe. Also, I’m calling bullshit on this statement too. “I heard only a handful where made in each size so you know “ C’mon. Seriously? Where do you people find the stones to write shit like that? Wild.

Mental Zip Up

What are your thoughts on this hood? I remember these coming out at a time when all the Mental tees had a sort of Art Deco feel to them. That’s what I remember. Apparently doveyr isn’t into it, otherwise, why would he sell it? His loss, right?

Biz As Uge

A while back, I mentioned the giant tote of tshirts that was at Lockin Out HQ. It had a bit of everything awesome. Sadly, everything awesome was always the wrong size. Lots of youth sized tees, or the Kato Kaelin tee. Bummer. But bradcoman478 has one of those tote shirts in a real size. Psyched. And this Righteous Jams is still at $1. I’ll be watching this and swooping in while you are all sleeping. Purple core shirts are awesome.

The Mental Crew

Bootlegs suck. I’m pretty much against them 90% of the time. Here’s where I don’t mind them. When you screen up a few for you and your boys. Or when you give them to friends. I’m cool with that. Print up 6-12, have fun with it. But you know what sucks? When you screen up a bunch of boots and sell them on ebay. And then don’t mention they are bootlegs. You just sell them and let the bidder figure it out. That’s usually what keepitclearmtl seems to do. That seller has a slew of weirdo boots normally. But oddly, not today. Today, he appears to be selling two legit Mental crew tshirts. We’ve seen a few of these boots pop up in the past, but the letters on these look correct. That’s usually the telltale sign of a bad Mental Crew tshirt: wonky letters. These are appropriate. But here’s the thing. Who’s to say this dude hasn’t made a better boot? Fuck, so annoying. And his description doesn’t fill me with confidence either, “Here’s the deal: I bought this shirt and the other one I have for sale, off a guy from the B9, but I have no idea if it’s an original or boot. What you see is what you get.” Ugh. Before bidding, I’d suggest you ask him what brand of tshirt they are printed on. My green one is on Jerzees Heavyweight Cotton. That green one (and likely the blue one) should be the same.

Build And Destroy

What do you know about Build And Destroy? Here’s what I know. This crew is from Detroit. It’s members are ex Rzl Dzl, and all around chill dudes. The music is a little less “fun” than Rzl Dzl, but fuck, hard stuff. Slow down Cold World, add some riffing, and you’re on your way to Build And Destroy. Oh, also, they are the latest band on the Lockin Out Records roster. The shirt is a little plain, but that can work. Personally, I’d prefer this shirt in another color. I’m fairly certain xxxbostons has a stack of these in various colors. Maybe we’ll see more soon.

Rampage – Now You Think Twice!

Crazy. I definitely don’t recall having seen this Rampage longsleeve before. The design is obviously one we’ve seen around, but the longsleeve version is different. Now You Think Twice! Down the sleeve. Great look. Josh P is the man. Anyone who doesn’t add the “P” to his name is a weirdo. Grab this one from inmyyouth09 but be prepared for a battle. I don’t see this one going for cheap.

A Greg Mongo 1 Of 1 Tanktop

I appreciate that smurphypurple calls this one like it is. No punches pulls, he tells you exactly what you are getting. Which is a one of one tanktop that Greg Mongo made one day while working at a screen shop. On the front, you have the smoking Mongoloids dude. And on the back, you get the RZL DZL LOC character. Interesting combo. Take it for what it’s worth, but don’t get too crazy over it.
