A QVCC Gig

In my life, I’ve only ever booked one (solo) show. I booked a few when I was back at WPI, but that was with college money and a few friends. We booked some good ones, no doubt (Bane, Reach The Sky & Buried Alive. Word). But this one gig in 2007, I booked myself. And looking back on it, it was a chill fucking shows.

January 20, 2007 @ The QVCC Worcester Mass: Have Heart (I Rise), Cold World, Lion Of Judah, War Hungry, Step Forward

Come on, now that’s a pretty epic lineup. It was cold as hell that night, which seemed to keep a lot of kids away, but I had a blast. And there were definitely enough people up front during Cold World for Hoodrack to do this ill 5-6 step headwalk. It was monumental. Reminded me of that one headwalk AJ did for Bane at the Space. Good headwalks are hard to come by, really.

Looking back, I’m proud of that gig.

LOJ & Time Travel

It’s amazing.

I hung with Ritter last weekend. He didn’t mention any time traveling abilities to me, but they must exist.

Here is a demo era LOJ shirt. I know this because like the seller I ordered one when I ordered the demo from them. It was a petty good demo and I enjoyed the follow up “soul power” ep on Lockin out but I never really followed up after that. I kinda lost interest. I will check out the other stuff after I post this up though. Overall I still like this shirt. Not too crazy, hand drawn, simple colorway. Solid stuff. Since there is no hype behind this band you can scoop up for super cheap as there is no bidders with a cheap starting bid. Ritter is a head

Lion Of Judah is chalk a block full of dudes. Just all around chill fuckers.

Best part?

Every time I see them, Ritter tries to convince me to wigger mosh for them. Just straight push pit, lose it metal dance.

I’ve stage dove without shoes, but never went for the lose it mosh. But that could happen the next time around.

Also, this shirt is perhaps the best color of the lot. If you don’t buy it, I will.

What I don’t get. This lot is FULL of dope bands that are big names in their own right. Why does the seller decide to keyword spam the auction title with ZERO band names of the shirts in his auction?

This lot does NOT contain ANY Have Heart, Bane, Blacklisted or AN gear. I can see a few keyword spams, but EVERY word? Weak. How is any Lewd Acts AND Lion Of Judah fan going to find these tees based off of that title?

Lion Of Judah – Freedom Love Choice Tour 2005 Tee

Funny story:

One super day I was wearing my Lion Of Judah tshirt in the Container Store in Framingham MA. We were checking out with our bins (for all my tshirts, of course) when a young couple grabbed my attention. They wanted to ask me all about my tshirt. They were from a local church camp and were very amped on my tee. I told them it was a band tshirt. “Oh, a christian band?” ” … Why yes, a christian rock band.” They probably ran back to camp to google the whole crew. I can imagine their disappointment when they saw those hell raisers.
