DWID’s Gism Gear

Vintage Japanese hardcore shirts aren’t something you come across every day. But leave it to dwidhellion to know every sketchball and nutcase on earth and have these 3 GISM shirts. They were made for the last two GISM shows after guitarist Randy Uchida died. Im sure they were given to Dwid by Sekevi, a dude even more weird than Dwid. Jbil could probably write more here about these than i could, i’m just not that into Japcore. But the Dwid-ness of these items has to be worth something to some future serial killer out there.

Dripping With Something, Alright.

It’s Monday night, and Monday Night Raw is just starting, so it seems like a good time to post up this Sin Cara “Goteo de Oro” tee from joepetrow

Now, I know what you’re asking. Why are we wasting a post on a boring WWE tee. It’s not like Sin Cara was a huge deal over the summer the way CM Punk was with his Best In The World tee, and this isn’t a vintage tee I’m sending out to Doug Free. So what gives? Well, THIS is what gives:

Obviously the seller didn’t want to show the full pic on eBay and risk having it pulled, nor did he want to take it out of the plastic bag it was sold in and decrease the value. Because you see, this shirt is a BANNED ITEM. Well, maybe not banned, but once someone at the WWE FINALLY figured out what was going on there (and if you haven’t figured it out for yourself yet, shame on you), this had already been on the website and on sale for a few weeks. So the company naturally panicked, cancelled all orders and gave refunds. So now, much like Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair, this tee does not officially exist in the WWE Universe. Except for a few tees that made it to customers via WWE’s Japan shop, that is. Don’t bother looking, they finally got the memo, so this one is probably the only chance you’ll ever get at wearing Sin Cara’s junk on your belly.

Bastard

This shirt that franklinbduckets is selling makes regular appearances in my wardrobe. I love this thing. He picked up his at Chaos in Tejas a couple of years ago. I heard their merch line was insane. They released this shirt in the states as well in Japan. The Japan version is a little different as the ink on the fron and one sleeve is light grey instead of white. The other sleeve that says mummy is printed in black in on the JP version. As DFJ once told me “they are the Cro-mags” of Japan. After witnessing one reunion in Japan I have no doubt. So brutal.

Converge Japanese Red Cross benefit shirt

Our friends in Converge just posted up two great shirts for sale. The proceeds from these shirts will go directly to the Red Cross. Check out what they have to say, and click the pictures to grab a shirt in support.

“Japan has always been a second home for Converge. Friends that might as well be family, amazing shows, and incredible memories. So this is the least that the band can do to help the relief efforts in honor of their appreciation for the country, the people and their friends. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross on behalf of Converge and Kings Road.

*These shirts will be printed to order. They will be printed on Anvil 980 slimfit ringspun cotton shirts. These shirts will be sold until April 25th. They will then be unavailable, printed and they will ship during the week of May 2-6th.”

GAUZE

A dope original GAUZE shirt from norimokojoe2003. This particular shirt was sold on December 14th 2008 at a gig, I know this because that is where I copped mine. Dope shirt and sold out lightening quick at the gig. Surprised this has 2 days left and no bids! Do western crust punks not support shirts that arnt black with white ink?!? Id watch the size though. Its printed on a Japanese shirts so it might run just a tad smaller than a western shirt.

No Reason Why

Im a huge fan of this shirt! Im an even bigger fan of this ep. When I first heard Judgement I thought their “process” ep was the best release but recently I just listen to this over and over. Dont get me wrong, I dont think Judgement has a bad release at all. I just wish I wasnt such a chump and got into them earlier.
This shirt was sold when Judgement came over to play Chaos in Tejas in 2009. Their first reunion was in 2008 in Japan for a Chelsea(RIP) memorial gig. I missed it cause I was out of town. Biggie Bumout on my part. When they played chaos they sold this shirt in 2 colorways as well as another design. This is my personal favorite though. Love the colorway. If you havent heard them yet, give them a shot. That is only if you like moshing and good music.

Last Integrity post of the day

First up from xjokexohiox is an Integrity/Creepout Japan tour longsleeve. I went to the last gig on tis tour and it was underwhelming. I was a little bummed. Dont get me wrong, Integrity sounded great! They played for like an hour and twenty minutes and almost exclusively old songs. Obv they opened with Micha and it ruled. It was the crowd that was the problem. There was maybe 50 people there and mostly just stood there staring but not in a “staring in awe” kind of way but more of a “staring out of boredom” kind of way. Which was a shame cause it could have been really great. The HC trend has been over in JP for a while. Good looking shirt though

Second up is a longsleeve from Creepout. They are like a JP Integrity sounding band. Great dudes. Kunihide the vocalist is one of the nicest dudes you wil ever meet. Loves the core.

Wanted: Bastard shirt from Chaos in Tejas

I live in Japan and oddly enough my favorite Japanese band played in america. I saw them last week at a tiny secret gig in Tokyo. Killer show but they sold no shirts.

So im looking for Bastard shirts in size Medium
Let me know what youve got.
Ive got a bunch of different Gauze shirts to trade

Have Heart – Big Dogs

Have Heart could very well be the Youth Of Today for the modern hardcore kid.

I mean, I don’t see Pat going Krsna or starting up a Shelter-esque band (however, I could see him skanking to some “Alone On My Birthday” song … well, not really).

But given the reach and influence of Have Heart, I think the argument is valid. Plus, the views expressed by the band are very in line with the message Youth Of Today was pushing in the late 80s.

Something More Than Ink.

I’ve always liked this JP tour shirt. I get a lot of compliments on it when I wear it, for obvious reasons. I recall the band came home with quite a few of them. No idea why. Especially after bringing it to Japan, across the US and to Germany. Great shirt.

DSB US tour shirt

This band recently called it quits. The last show was like 2 weeks ago here in Tokyo. I spaced and forgot about it but I heard from a friend that it was a good time. This shirt is from their 3 date US tour in 2003 back when they had the original singer. I also heard these shows were awesome too. The way the seller talks about the gigs in his description I think he’d agree. Ive seen them a handful of times in my life and they put on a pretty good show.
