Insted Reunion With Chet

It’s so nice that Insted chose to include Chet when they did their reunions a few years back. Easily the most recognizable design in the band’s tshirt catalog, the band at least threw “Orange County Hardcore” under the band logo on the front to differentiate between the reunion tee and the original. enjoid3 has something other good stuff up so check it out.

EDIT: Sorry, this is no longer for sale.

Insted OG?

knockoutnj flat out says he think this Insted tee is original but he’s not sure. I’ve seen this tee in this colorway before so it’s definitely possible that this is legit but I’m hoping that one of our loyal readers will step in and shed some light on this for the sellers sake. Either way, great photo on the back and a great record.

What Holds Us Apart Is What We Believe.

A classic West Coast pairing from seller sinkler100 this morning: an Insted “What We Believe” longsleeve, which he picked up at Insted’s “last” show back in 1991, and a Chain of Strength “What Holds Us Apart” tee, also picked up in ’91. I like how in these, and every other auction, he attributes any stains to possible “stage diving mishap(s)”. I also like both these tees. Clean, classic designs.

West Coast OGs.

Another batch of tees from asone75. Since the pocket tee post from yesterday was all East Coast, I went West Coast for this one, starting with Bad Religion, who we never give enough time to on this site…

We follow it with the infamous No For An Answer Jack Daniels tee, and an Insted design I don’t recall ever seeing before…

…and we wrap it up with a Suicidal Tendencies tee that you probably can’t wear around your Mom. Because she’s dead.

No Rules For Insted

Man, eferentz continues to bring some serious heat with this Insted longsleeve. I remember my buddy Alex had this thing back in the mid 90s and I’ve wanted it ever since. My only problem is that I just can’t wear longsleeves down here…too humid. I think they made this in a short sleeve as well but with the short sleeve you lose that killer sleeve print. Take the good with the bad I suppose…I think they made this in white as well but with a blue pocket print.

Slumber Party At Jackos

The Slumlords sold this at This Is Hardcore ’09 and the timing couldn’t have been better (worse??). Michael Jackson had just passed away and his popularity was back on the rise again. The band took that iconic Insted “Bonds of Friendship” cover and tweaked it a bit. soulcraft1977 continues to pull out great stuff so check it out and support Reaper Records.

Maybe you like this one Insted

Ok no more puns from me. Ill that to the professionals from here on out. When I look at this shirt Im not a big fan of it at all. It just looks meh to me. But I feel like this is the kind of shirt that will age well like a fine wine. I bet with repeated wearings and washings this shirtt will look awesome in 10 years when it has turned all thin and concert grey. I have never seen Insted but I dont feel like I have any interest in seeing present day Insted. But thats because im too old and grumpy. I should actually be listening to more Insted and get my PMA back up to youth levels. While youre bidding on this one from marfeline im gonna go rip my Insted cd onto my computer.

Insted

Im in love with this Insted shirt. I always wanted a cool Insted shirt but Ive nevver gotten around to actually getting one. Id try for this one but its looking a little too thin for me and I actually wear the shirts I buy(god forbid) so it wont work for me. Its a little hard to put an age onto this shirt though. Dope design though. Simple with the right amount of wear on the ink. Im into it. I really gotta get an old “chet” shirt someday though. Get this one from marfeline

Wish This Was OG Insted of A Bootleg

Sigh.

Another day, another bootleg. This one from marfeline in Spain. And sadly, it’s not even a high quality bootleg. Look at the offsets on the back. Not very well lined up, really. Bah. I was psyched when I thought it was a legit Insted tee, but after clicking through, it was an obvious boot. Semi shady description too, skirts the “bootleg” line, “old design brandnew, never used.” Ugh.

West Coast OG’s.

Don’t think that live_hard’s OG tee auctions are limited strictly to East Coast acts. I mean, yeah, we saw a couple UC tees yesterday, but every thing else so far has been all Revelation related acts. That changes with this post chock full of Insted, along with a lone No For An Answer tee that as of this writing is kicking Insted’s ass in the price range game…
