Inside out was THE band to cover in the mid 90s and not every song. Just “no spiritual surrender”. You could actually go to a show and hear more than one band cover that song at the same gig. Ha. Pretty much the mid 90s could be summed up by big pants, beaded necklaces, and Inside Out covers. Ill be honest I might be psyched to here an Inside Out cover at a gig nowadays. Its been a while. I have one Inside Out shirt but its not this one. I think I prefer this one from bwal9189 more than mine. When it turns concert grey its going to look amazing!

There are a pair of Inside Out shirts for sale on the bay right now. This first one for sale by pingler is Rev-ish design that is pretty plain jane, but it is classic. This could have been made anytime in the last 10 years.

The baby blue one you see here for sale by my buddy axtion-henk is a little bit of an oddity to me. Does anyone have specifics on this one? For some reason, this one screams Lost and Found to me, but I’m just not certain. Please fill me in people!

No Spiritual Surrender

I’d take this Inside Out “No Spiritual Surrender” design over the one that Rev has been selling for years any day. You put a live photo on the shirt and you instantly have my attention, not to mention that the photo is on the front instead of the standard back. Killer design and I love that pingler states that he “wore it once to see 108″. I’ve cut back on my shirt collecting but I think I could make an exception for this one.

Truth be told, I have never gotten into the Cali Inside Out (Inside Out NY, them I love). Rage Against The Machine… I rocked the s/t quite a bit in the 90s, no lie there. They quickly lost me after that. Hard Stance tho… now THAT’S my Zach band of choice. Sadly, the lone Hard Stance tee up right now got posted last week, so I’m left with the No Spiritual Surrender tee for sale from seller eggsmama:

My friend Jimmy Flynn is a funny guy. If you’ve met him, you know. And if you haven’t met him, you might have gone to one of the many, many Boston Hardcore shows he booked at the Cambridge Elks between 2003 and 2009. A WBCN obsession and a detailed knowledge and love of even the least known bands from the Boston Hardcore 91 comp are just the start of the Jimmy Flynn experience. And now, ebay brings us a new chapter: an autographed Inside Out tee. Autographed by the members of Rage Against The Machine, that is.

Oh Jimmy. You wacky, wacky guy. Though if you ask me, it’s an obvious gag. I think it’d be funnier if it was an Inside Out NY tee they had signed…

Couple of awesome tees here from seller thedanceofdays; too bad these babies are total beaters… we’re talking fading, holes, stains, the works. Rated BTS for sure. Full disclosure tho, if this was an Inside Out NY tee in the same condition? I’d totally throw down a bid.

I looks like loop88 is back with more crucial gear. This time it is an Inside Out Revelation Records shirt. Here is what he has to say about it

“Inside Out 7” No Spiritual Surrender shirt=I’m pretty sure I traded for this shirt from Chris from the band Countervail in 98’ and he had it for a longtime before that. His name comes to mind as I recall him getting rid of a lot of things and I was there to pickup what he didn’t want. To this day, I have yet to see this shirt ever or even knew about it back in the day when Inside Out was around. So this is a pretty special shirt, having the 7” lyric sheet artwork with pictures of each member. Inside Out without a doubt, brought a new element of emotion to HC in such an organic way, it is almost hard to explain. They weren’t around for too long, but their impact was felt around the world in my eye’s. They were an important part of Orange County/San Diego Hardcore and were embraced by all of us back then!! Let’s put it this way, they were beyond the dumb jock youth crew stuff that all of us fell into, they made me realize there is more to think about……. “

Nice shirt with some nice history. If you have been looking for one of these, it’s time for action.
