If you had showed up at National Edge Day 2000 wearing either this tee from fatjellomilo or this zip up from toddxlavictoirex, not only would you have been a time traveler, but you wouldn’t have been let into the show. I’m honestly not sure how strictly that was enforced, but I hope it was super strictly enforced. I hate that I even have to post these tees, but there are still no In My Eyes shirts up and I needed an excuse to post the mini-doc again…

It’s Edge Day, What’s All This Metal Crap?

Sorry Naidoo, but as the innovator of Metal Monday, I reserve the right to say when it needs to take a week off, and this Monday especially it needed to take a week off. Cuz as I mentioned this morning, today is October 17, which makes it National Edge Day, which means we need to be seeing less metal memorabilia and more tees like this 10th anniversary Smorgasbord Straight Edge tee from thedevilstole. The only even remotely acceptable Metal Monday posts today would involve Earth Crisis and/or Strife. And I think Standhard would agree that even that’s pushing it.

Now, here’s the thing. What I REALLY wanted to post for NED is the NED2000/In My Eyes Last Show mini-documentary Revelation put up today for free viewing. Thing is, there are currently ZERO IME tees up to post about! So this is where I’m gonna go crazy on you with some 3 degrees of separation. Ok, so, as noted above, this is a Smorgasbord Straight Edge tee. In the late 90s, Follow Through started up, and they were on Smorgasbord, so they used Smorgasbord Straight Edge on their shirts. In this NED2000 doc, you can see a Follow Through varsity jacket prominently displayed on the shirtless form of Josh Say No, aka Jarvis from Head Automatica. Thus, that video is completely appropriate to post up with a Smorgasbord tee! IN YOUR FACE!

In My Eyes Demo Days

The In My Eyes demo still kills 95% of all demos coming out these days. Just raw energy with great production (but not overdone). Well slapscott666 is selling what he says is a shirt from when the band only had a demo out. I’m no In My Eyes expert but I’d say he’s right. I’ll have to get a ruling from one of my Mass. peers to confirm but overall, definitely a good look.

IME est 1997

Mctwist5 is selling a nice simple clean looking IME tee. This is the kind of shirt that is going to go for super cheap now a days but in like 10 years dudes are going to be fiending after it. Even if it doesnt rise in value this is the kind of graphic that will still look classic in 10-15 years. IME did a great job with this one!

This Is Our Time

shipxwrecked says he (or she) received this as a gift…sounds like a good gift to me. In My Eyes were one of my favorites during the late 90′s youth crew revival. I remember receiving their demo from Neal when he was filling in on bass for Shutdown when they toured with Fastbreak. It had so much energy and was a permanent fixture in my car cassette player for quite some time. I don’t really know the time frame of this design…if I remember correctly, the band screened these and I think Rev also screened and sold them. Can’t remember for the life of me…I love the collegiate style. Great band, great design.

In My Eyes monstrosity

I’m sure Murphy has one of these locked in his closet, but I don’t recall ever having seen this horrible horrible In My Eyes shirt for sale by fabianran. I’m certain this color is red and not RUST like the pictures suggest, but that is only part of the problem. That back picture makes it look like Pete is standing on top of a building having a heart attack. It looks like someone just learned to use the trace tool in Photoshop. DO NOT WANT!

In My Eyes Boston Straight Edge

God bless America! Nothing says “USA” more than the Boston Straight Edge legends In My Eyes. Thanks to seller daysarelikeknives, you have quite a few options to chose from. And this seller has some GREAT ones. Lots of rare tshirts in here. West Coast Weekend shirt, 2 color EST 97 tee, those one sided, chest centered box logos… Some great items that never pop up on ebay, that’s for sure. So bid, and bid big. Because if you don’t, I’m scooping these up.

The M In IME Stands For Maroon.

I’ve been racking my brain trying to remember if anyone I know actually wore this maroon, pre-Revelation era In My Eyes tee that slapscott666 is selling. I feel like someone had to have, but I can’t for the life of recalling anyone I knew not going for the athletic gray with blue ink… I know I personally didn’t go for maroon because I already had a maroon Reason Enough shirt… and yes Ian, I still have it. I don’t have any IME tees anymore though. That’s kind of a shame.

It’s a quiet sunday on ebay. Not a lot of activity, not a lot of new auctions. But here’s where you take advantage. These shirts from daysarelikeknives end within the hour, and each is less than $1 currently. That’s right, dirt cheap. Smart if you pick these up and then ask to meet at Mango in Milford, MA for the hand off. Offer to buy him some mango tofu, and he’ll be happy, I bet.

not 80s Suicidal

One last shirt from s-king-sickboy but dont be fooled by the auctions title. This shirt is not from 1983 nor is it from 1987-89 as stated in the description. There is no way it is pre mid-90s with a tag like that. Great shirt though. I always associate this graphic not with Suicidal but with In My Eyes funny enough. TTD friend and fellow HC nerd Anthony Pappalardo put it on a flyer for an IME show which I then put on my wall and had up all through college. So now that image is ingrained into my subconcious with IME.
