We’ve seen a Revelation Records related Gi Joe tee before (well, related in that Ray Cappo had one of the ones we saw before), but this one from eatbiggetbig2010 is of a different breed, in that it was apparently actually made by Rev as part of their never ending quest for old school GI Joe’s. It even sports the star back print.
Seller jayasubhadra doesn’t have a lot of info about this GI Joe tee. He thinks the Boiling Point guys made it, he remembers Ray Cappo having a black on white one (which you’ve seen a picture of him wearing live if you have the preview issue of Dolloff’s Sit Home And Rot fanzine, which you probably don’t)… and that’s it really. He did, however, forget to mention that it’s generally a pretty cool tee…
I’m fairly certain this is the first time I’ve EVER seen this Revelation Records G.I. Joe shirt. Not that this one is a stunning example. The front is nearly impossible to make out and the “slight discolouration” (yes, that’s a direct quote), isn’t helping clear it up any better. These were made by Jordan back in the day. Not sure how or why they were given out or traded. I know he would trade vinyl for GI Joe figures. Maybe he threw some tees out to people? Anyone got some background on this one? thule_tide is the second owner. He traded something he doesn’t want to mention to get this one. I’d love to know what he traded. Someone get the scoop from Jordan for us, please.
