Righteous Jams – In Your Face

One of my favorite sellers (also, best dude) is back with another installment of great tshirts. The best part about Bob’s auctions? Instead of a throw away description, he really gives you the goods on the tee. Take this Righteous Jams tshirt, for instance. He could have just said, “never worn, size L, bid hard.” But he didn’t nah, he gives ALL the details. Check it.

So there’s a handful (max, 24 of the “are in your face” variants. making these was not easy, and was primarily done between the hours of 2am – 4am) of one-off RJ shirts, but a lot of them have similar ideas. Pretty much, when the singer of the band has the ability to print the band shirts, you’re going to get some cool variations. So, this is one of those, pretty sure we made these in the winter before the RJ / Mental / R’N'R tour? Not sure though. Might have even been earlier. Dunno. Great design, I don’t really think I wore this, it’s crispy new.

That’s just solid gold folks. And a great tshirt to boot. RIP ASAP.

Bloodlet and Friends

It’s fitting that this Bloodlet tshirt popped up on ebay today. The seller picked it up in 1998. You know how I feel about 1998. Also if you follow VinylNoize.com, you’d have seen that Barrit EP post I put up last night. Of all the dudes in Worcester, the Barrit / Relm crew loved this band more than any other. Not sure how or why, but those dudes LOVED that band. And finally, it turns out the seller is no other than our good friend Ray. You know Ray. From Sound And Fury Fest and First World Problems (a great podcast worth a listen). Ray’s a solid dude. And he’s also going to be a dad soon. Apparently dad’s have no space for Bloodlet tees or the 30 other tees he has up now. Go ahead and snatch these items up — diapers aren’t cheap. Good luck and congrats again, Ray.

Helping Friends Out

Over the weekend, a lot of cool shit happened. I saw some excellent bands and pitted with some dudes I haven’t pitted with in 8-9 years. Pretty awesome times. Good karma flows. And there was plenty of good times elsewhere too. A reader was looking for a Right Brigade tee in XL. I couldn’t find one, but I did find a medium from burningfight55. If you have an XL, hit us up. We need to find this guy one.

And then on the flipside of the internet, our good friend Marcus over on Endless Quest Records had a lot of nice things to say about our shirt. He mostly talks about records, but this might be the first shirt he’s blogged about. Pretty psyched on what he had to say. You should go read his blog, it’s a good read.

MINDSET

Later tonight, I’m seeing Rampage, Step Forward, Give, Lion Of Judah and a slew of other great bands.

I’m pretty frigging excited. It’s been too long since my last show. I miss the gig vibe.

But not only are amazing bands playing, but my friends (from SF, from Boston) from Maryland are coming up for the gig. My friend Sarah moved to Maryland a while back and I don’t think I’ve seen her in years. But her and her boyfriend are coming for the gig. I miss these people.

What’s all of this have to do with Mindset?

Well, well, well. Wouldn’t you know it, her boyfriend plays in Mindset. Very chill dude. Great edge and LOVES the core. In fact (and obviously), ALL those dudes love the core. They support it wholeheartedly, and I can get behind that.
