Wrong Place, Wrong Time

When was the last time you heard the Final World EP? Been a while? Well put it on…it’s still good. Just a good mix of NYHC and early 90s chug. This was the only shirt that I remember from the band. I can’t even remember if Indecision Records printed any. But this is the one I do remember…the band only played a handful of shows if I remember correctly. There were rumors that they were writing new songs but I don’t know if that actually happened. Crossing my fingers that they did. wellxfed has a bunch of good stuff up so check it out…just as long as you don’t mind paying foreign shipping.

It’s Not Thanksgiving In Canada.

Yes, while we are stuffing our faces with turkeys and tofurkeys and cranberry sauces and trimmings, our Northern brethren are on their regular regimen of Tim Horton’s and moose meat. Oh, Canada. Seriously though, we should be thankful to have such great Northern neighbors, especially the ones with great taste in hardcore. Seller tremblayhc brings us 3 tees from some Canadians who fit that bill, and I’m not talking about No Warning. I’m talking about Final Word, who delved into that same style of hardcore (albeit more on the Sick Of It All “Just Look Around” side of things), never played down here enough for my liking, never recorded enough material for me to ever be satisfied, and who quite frankly if they had kept going could have and should have taken Guns Up spot as No Warning’s replacement in the hearts of the American youth. Ah well. This Thanksgiving, I’m just happy to have seen them live and for the 5 song ep we DO have (which you can still pick up through Rev btw).
