Tags Matching: fail

There are a bunch of auctions ending in the next few hours from redjglue, and in this one particular case, the sooner the better…

I have to accept full responsibility for this one, because it’s one of mine. While I was happy with the actual drawing at the time, looking at it now… I could have done way, way better for those dudes. Violation were one of the few newer bands that I liked at the time, and I feel like I let them down. Just way too much going on with minimal detail… the dude’s masked head looks like a football with nipples for crying out loud. In my head it all really worked, but in my head it was also a black shirt with flag print in the “Don’t Worry…” lettering. Which obviously would have been a royal bitch to execute and would have made things even more of a cluster. Knowing what I know now, I could probably do this same design way, way better. Win some lose some I guess. Doesn’t mean I have to feel good about it.

So yes. Public apology to Violation, from me. Not that they ever complained or said they disliked it, but I feel like I owe them one anyways.
