I’ll Allow It.

I wasn’t exactly shocked when seller yesterdayskid revealed that this DumpTruck tee was a bootleg he made after stumbling upon the screen (why the screen was in Canada, I can only guess, as we certainly didn’t outsource our tees), as the only legit DumpTruck tees that were ever made were on Army green (you could call it olive green, if you prefer), and probably numbered less than 100. Def no red tees, red tees were a Wrong Side thing. But you know what? I’ll allow it. Red bootleg DumpTruck tee number 1 of 1, I declare you legitimate. Go forth, be fruitful, and don’t multiply.

When I posted about the Wrong Side NWA rip off tees from our lone California show, I mentioned that we had also done a small amount of crew necks to go with ‘em (no, I don’t remember exactly how many, you’d have to ask Andy from L.I.O.N., he hooked up the merch that day. I want to say below 10 though). Well, surprise surprise, seller savagelacix631 has shown up with one available for your TWS/NWA repping needs…

Dumptruck Lives – The Greatest Show On Earth

Anyone ever notice how bands that produce last show shirts ALWAYS seem to play more shows? Take The Wrongside. This is probably even the SECOND “last show” shirt they produced. But they continued playing gigs. In fact, I saw them just last year or the year before in Haverhill, Mass. Dookie was shredding. I was into that. But go ahead and grab this one from ianxwiles, as it features some excellent sleeve print. While one side is probably too wordy, the other sleeve is just perfect. Great touch.

The Wrongside

The Wrongside is one of those bands that should only EVER sell XL or XXL tees. This band was hard hitting, and to keep up with that, they should have refused to sell any shirts smaller than XL. No Youth Larges, that’s for sure. And if you didn’t like it, tough shit. Morgado would have just stink eyed you until you had bought the XXL. I’m sure xourlastregretx would agree.

Granted, these shirts were all post LP era tees. That’s when the lineup was very fluid, and the shirts were coming in from all over the place. I think most of these were printed by Mission Merch. Not exactly my favorite TWS tees, especially the ringer. Fuckin ringers.

I’m so glad a video exists of these two sets. Fuck, such an excellent day.

That Was Sooner Than I Expected.

The Dump Truck shirt auction we showed you yesterday ago isn’t even over yet, but already everyonerage26 has seized on the demand and upped a second one (which already has a bid). Clearly he’s been keeping an eye on the other auction, which is currently at $56, as he’s set his BIN at $50:

I’d be lying if I said seeing this didn’t stroke the flames of my giant ego. But I’m only saying that because if I didn’t, Rifkin would. Better you hear it from me.

I Laughed

Oh oldtymehardcore, your description got a chuckle out of me. Thanks.

the WRONG SIDE of the bed, that’s what I woke up on today. Then I got on TTD, and I was suddenly feelin’ pretty good. Thanks for the posting tips, sir.

LOL

Ps. 10 hours to go, no bids — dumb if you don’t.

Two Words…

I generally try to stay away from posting Wrong Side shirts unless I drew the art for them or have a story to tell, but ruffryderz1023‘s explanation for how he came to own this last show longsleeve (ending today!) was too good to not post…

“I think I got this in a trade for beer from someone. Can’t remember, but I know I wasn’t at the show.”

Two words indeed.

I should point out, however, that these were sold at at least 3 different “last shows” that I can think of. We originally made them for Posi Numbers 05 (last show #1), but that went to hell and we never played, so we just kept gigging and selling them until the Last Supper show (last show #3, with the Integrity show the month before as #2, though it was Mission that said that and not us), where we did a new batch with blue print instead of red. And even then there were still some leftover XL’s of the red print floating around for us to sell at a couple of the gigs that came after that. So basically what I’m saying is, this could have been bought any time we played from 2005 to 2007, and not necessary at our “last show”.

Be sure to check out the other auctions, as ruffryderz1023 has a bunch of good stuff ending over the next 12 or so hours.

Thighs Like What What What

Don’t you wonder why Dumptruck never made a shirt like this? I honestly do. This seems right up Morgado’s alley. I suppose it might be too obvious or too cliche, but you’d think it would fit perfectly. DTA 2004. Also, does anyone else feel like the pictures by dylanxedge (you can thank me for rotating them for you later, Mr Edge) make this look like a Toxic Avenger tee? Weird. xTOXIC AVENGERx!!

National Geographic Hates This Shirt.

When they were filming the National Edge Day show in Haverhill, MA a couple years ago for that hatchet job they did on the Straight Edge, a friend of mine happened to be wearing this shirt, and one of the producers who was there started taking him to task for supporting racism and accused him of wearing the shirt of a white power band. Apparently nooses had become a universal racist symbol akin to the swastika just that month. Guess we missed the memo.

Shout outs to my main man Larry Lurker for coming up with the design for this one back when he was working at Shogun. Miss you brother.

I’ve Been Feelin Pretty Good Today

The other night I got to see The Wrongside. It was almost Dumptruck actually. With Morgado singing and Dooks on guitar, it felt like old times. Or at least, half of old times. Songs I wish they had played: Ink Leaves The Fist. Damn good song. Two Words. It was good to see Morgado. He bought a death threat shirt off of me. Good look for a good dude.

Peep thenorcalmerchman’s other auctions for more gems. Dude really holds it down for Oakland merchmin.
