Converge

I’m pretty sure momo16.2007‘s Converge tee was from the “When Forever Comes Crashing” era. I just went back through my tradelist because I thought I owned this one but apparently not. Anyway, I think the era is correct. The band was just becoming the touring machine they are now and I saw them on that tour in a small warehouse with no stage. The show was Converge, Today is The Day, Morning Again and Cavity and the original venue made the show 18 and over. The bands all basically agreed to move the show to a warehouse called the “Brethren Warehouse”, after the band Brethren who had practiced there for years. The ended up playing there and it was just great. Kids diving off of garbage cans and the chairs…good times.
The tee itself has that 90s heavy print that makes you sweat just looking at and I’m pretty sure this was also printed on black.

Rare: Converge Summer Tour 1995

Now here’s a shirt you don’t see everyday. thehuntergrachus is selling a rare Summer Tour 1995 Converge tee. I think the only one I’ve ever seen was owned by Matt Pike, and he happened to roadie on that tour. This one is a serious gem, and I suspect Converge fans will be all over it. If Morgado was a Converge head, this would be perfect for him.

90s Style Converge Hoodie

If memory serves, this Converge hoodie that dogkecha is selling was printed around the time of “When Forever Comes Crashing”, roughly 1998 or so. There was a time when you could go to any show and someone would always be wearing this design or the 4 skulls design. Great look…I love navy (sorry Murphy) and this has that 90s style of heavy screen printing. Real thick ink. Winter’s coming…

EDIT: This is more than likely a reprint

Converge Tour(??) Shirt

Earlier, a commenter suggested we post up more Converge tees. We’re happy to oblige. It also just happens that the seller is a good friend of ours. You all know Sam Triple B. Good crew, solid stage diver, runs some record label … Solid dude.

As for this particular Converge tee, I’ll need your help. Sam describes this as a “tour” tshirt. But I can only imagine it’s a fest shirt. Seriously, how often do 7 bands tour together? Plus when those bands are Lewd Acts, Black Breath, Touche Amore, Coalesce, Gaza AND Thursday, you can imagine any venue would quickly implode after the set. Anyone have the scoop on this one? I’m guessing a few years old at the most. Must have been a recent event or tour.

When Forever Comes Crashing

jk-chang states that he bought this shirt on the “When Forever Comes Crashing” tour which would have been roughly early 1999. It was pretty awesome seeing Converge around this time, right before they really started playing big venues and you could see them in a small club. Intense. jk-chang also states that the back of the shirt features artwork from their Black Sabbath tribute 7 inch. The band is still going strong and I believe they are about to hit their 20 year mark.

Vintage, Orange, Hardcore: Converge

This Converge shirt goes back a bunch of years. It’s possible that it’s older than some of the readers of this site. Think about that! Also, think about how Converge is still out there, going strong. They aren’t farting around and playing one or two shows a year, reunion style. Fuck no. They are still touring, still putting out brutal music. They are definitely still relevant. How many other bands can claim that nearly 20 years later? If you say Aerosmith, I’m going to punch you in the gullet. Grab this old tee from thehoodzz315.

Converge X Gossamer

I think Jake Converge has been spending a little too much time watching those old looney tunes cartoons. Check this euro tour shirt that pushpit666 is selling. Tell me that graphic does NOT look like Gossamer.

Converge EVR Windbreaker

In the early aughts, windbreakers were the shit. Lots of bands were releasing them, and you couldn’t swing a set of tulsi beads without hitting a kid wearing them. EVR and their bands were all over this (hell, they may have pioneered its reemergence). Every EVR band seemed to have navy windbreakers. I’m guessing EVR scored a great deal from Harvard or Lee, whichever company happened to make all of these. One King Down had em. Ten Yard Fight had em. Bane had em. I’m sure Saves The Day had em. And as you can see from xedgemetalx’s auction, Converge had one. This one medical creepy. I remember selling one of these shirts in black and getting bank for it. I think my shirt even had gold sparkly ink. No sparkly ink on this one (lucky for you??).

Solid toe pics!

Reader Request: Hardcore Baseball Tees

This one is a reader request. We had a dude ask about baseball tees. Not sure why. I don’t recall baseball tees every having a hey day. Maybe the later 90s? Even in baseball, no love, but fear not, ben$dover and xedgemetalx got that hook up. I recall selling one of these Converge shirts a few years back for a friend. It scored a few clams. Funny story about the Terror tee … I was walking around Las Vegas one day a few years back looking for the UNDFTD shop. I was one block off the strip headed in the right direction, but the heat was getting to me. I walked by some dude smoking and asked him if I was going the right direction. He said I was. Then he asked me if I was into hardcore. At that moment, I realized he was wearing this particular Terror baseball tee. Turned out he was a B9 intern a few years prior, and we knew a lot of the same dudes. He had moved onto Zappos. Sounded like a cool gig. Ps. I did not buy a baseball tee at the Undftd shop.

Nice feet, Mike.

Converge Japanese Red Cross benefit shirt

Our friends in Converge just posted up two great shirts for sale. The proceeds from these shirts will go directly to the Red Cross. Check out what they have to say, and click the pictures to grab a shirt in support.

“Japan has always been a second home for Converge. Friends that might as well be family, amazing shows, and incredible memories. So this is the least that the band can do to help the relief efforts in honor of their appreciation for the country, the people and their friends. 100% of the proceeds will be donated to the Red Cross on behalf of Converge and Kings Road.

*These shirts will be printed to order. They will be printed on Anvil 980 slimfit ringspun cotton shirts. These shirts will be sold until April 25th. They will then be unavailable, printed and they will ship during the week of May 2-6th.”
