Tags Matching: cartoon nonsense

I’m not even gonna bother posting the back of this Slapshot shirt being sold by janvanderdam, because it doesn’t do anything to save it.

I very definitely remember someone describing Slapshot’s aesthetic in this era as “cartoon nonsense” in the pages of Extent (I believe it was in reference to the Same Mistake/Might Makes Right artwork being one of the 10 best hc record covers, but later they descended into said nonsense), and it’s hard to disagree.

(Apologies to Josh over at Vinyl Noize, as I know he loves all things Slapshot, be it sketchy hockey mask image or cartoon doggie.)
