Deftones Wind breaker

920widecker is selling a cool Deftones wind breaker. I remember these coming out around the time White Pony dropped. I’m sure they made them for a while after that. I remember Bedard wearing one of these during the EVR Showcase in 2001 at the St Andrews Church show.

even more Quicksand

Is it just me or does it seem like there is a sudden influx of Quicksand shirts recently? Maybe I was never looking for them in the past. I actually have this shirt. I picked it up at a used record shop for cheap in hopes of trading it away one day but then it kinda grew on me. I scooped up a “Slip” era longsleeve too that was waaaaaaay too big for me as well. I also knew huge Quicksand head that it would fit perfect – Aaron Bedard. So when Bane came around on tour last year I gave it to Bedard and he was stoked. I could have made some dough off Ebay or held onto it for a trade but it was much better to make someones day. I feel like HC kids have forgotten the tradtion of handing down old gear and records in favor of profits. If you have something you wanna get rid of that your boy would like. Hook them up! PMA. Buy this shirt from loop88 and hook someone up with a surprise gift.

Too True

If you know Bedard, you know this principle holds. Every time Bedard goes on tour, he comes home with a new favorite hardcore band. In the late 90s, it was Saves The Day and Countervail. In the early 2Ks, it was Throwdown and Outbreak. And a few years back it was Ceremony and Cruel Hand. He would come back from tour and attempt to get us into these bands. For the most part, he was spot on. We already knew how excellent Cruel Hand is so that wasn’t a problem. But sometimes, sometimes he was off. Countervail? Wild. Summer Tour 2010 did not have an OFF result. He came back with Trapped Under Ice. Of course, everyone should realize how excellent this band is, but it wasn’t until I saw them live that everything clicked into place. This band is HARD. Great live set, and the recorded work is stellar too. I suggest picking them up. My only regret is sleeping on this band for the last few years. My bad, my bad.

Great Side By Side reference too. Another excellent auction from thebeatgoesron. Dude has gems.

Bane windbreaker

People seem to love these non t-shirt items although I dont see anyone wearing them. Then again my last US show was P.Mental (Dont worry Im not a bitter old man that doesnt go to shows, Im supporting my current local scene). Im not a windbreaker/gas station jacket fan but I love Give Blood. M fav Bane LP. “Ante up” is such a banger! Bane will come to Japan soon and I cant wait to hang with Bedard. Such a head. He might love HC more than anyone I know. An inspiration when you hate HC and the BS that comes with it sometimes. He also turned me onto “the Road” and Im eternally grateful for that!

American Nightmare Farewell Tee

This one has always been one of my faves.

For some reason, I never picked one up, but I recall Bedard wore the shit out one he had. Lots of Palladium gigs (when the stairs weren’t covered) rocking that tee.

Speaking of the Palladium. One time American Nightmare played that joint. Before the set began, Wes held up a cardboard poster with permanent marker words on it. I remember the whole crowd “WOWing” whatever it said, but I couldn’t read it. I was on the stage (because that’s how cool I am, obviously, … ooooffffffff) and never saw it before he launched it away.

September 15, 2002 @The Palladium Mass: American Nightmare, Hope Conspiracy, Count Me Out and Panic

Anyone have any idea what that sign said??

Anyway, I was always a big fan because the back of the tee clearly has Wes sporting an x-rated swatch. For such a negative sounding tee, that picture sure seemed positive to me.

I do recall they were all ill sized though. Like the larges were real long. Maybe I dreamt that though.

The seller claims he “has never seen one of these on ebay before …” That’s just him hyping up his auction. This tee shows up every few months, he obviously just doesn’t follow ebay like we do. Not sure if that’s good or bad …
