On Monday, we announced a contest for free hardcore merch. The response was nearly overwhelming. There were over 120 comments and over 130 Retweets. In fact, the result was so overwhelming, that we picked TWO winners.

Contest for Free Hardcore Tees

Over the weekend, I was clearing out some old bins of tees preparing for a massive ebay sale, when I decided it would be better to give the stuff to our loyal readers. Who doesn’t love free stuff?

Entering is easy. Real, real easy. We’ll even give you two options.

1. Press the “Retweet” link button up there on the right. If you don’t follow @teetilldeath, now is a good time to start.

2. Leave a comment below. Only one comment per commenter, please.

Check the bin! Lots of goodies in there.

We’ll randomly select the winner in 48 hours. This person will win something (a shirt, maybe two) from this giant bin. We will then contact you for your address and shirt size. That’s it.

We wanted to thank you guys for browsing the site, leaving comments and generally making the site fun for us to create. 1000 posts came up quick, and we are excited to continue bringing you all the classics you might need for your collection.

We also wanted to take the time to announce the launch of 2 other sites.

Showcases interesting pieces of wax, the more rare the better.

Showcases all things related to the comic world from original art to merchandising to great monthly trades.

You’ll notice a lot of similarities across the sites. We’re aiming to provide very familiar content even if the items discussed are vastly different than what you’ve seen before. We’re achieving this goal by gathering some of the best talent we could find. We look forward to building these into daily reads for you. All the sites are RSS enabled and can be easily added to your feed reader.

As we continue to grow, we plan on extending our scope. You can help. We are looking for people with a passion for collecting skate gear, sports cards, toys and other interesting things. Also, if you think you have the inside scoop on vinyl or comics, please get in touch.

The bootleg discussion

I just wanted to take a moment and clarify something that has recently come up. The term bootleg is used around here quite a bit, and I wanted to elaborate on it.

As far as I am concerned with MY blog posts(I think Murphy and JayBil agree but I won’t speak for them), a bootleg shirt does not just refer to a crust punk pumping out Youth of Today 4 sided shirts in his basement in Chile. As far as I am concerned, even if the shirt is “licensed” by the band years later, that does not make it official. It’s remake. A bootleg.
