Whoa, shocking revelation.

While looking at these intensely awesome mesh shorts from 25 Ta Life, it occurred to me that I’ve NEVER seen 25 Ta Life or Comin Correct play. No shit. Not once. In over 15 years of attending shows, I’ve never seen Rick Ta Life rock the mic. Now, this doesn’t mean I’ve never experienced Mr Ta Life. No sir. In fact, once at a Zootz show, he set up his flea market and sold some goods. Granted, none of his bands were playing, he was just selling goods. Pretty sure I bought a Hatebreed Smorgasbord sweatshirt off of him that night. It was also maroon. Would probably look excellent with these maroon shorts. I should probably get some sort of prize for somehow NEVER seeing these bands play. And it wasn’t like I was going out of my way to avoid them. Just somehow never saw them. Wild.

Someone let c.marti79 know that his pic for the Sick Of It All Basketball jersey is terribly, terribly terrible. Super small and impossible to see. How does that happen?

25 Ta Life XXL hooded sweatshirt. Something for the big boys today. You know that if you saw a dude rocking a small or a youth large in this design you would laugh. A guy wearing a XXL might not appreciate the laughter. Not saying you wouldn’t laugh, but it might not go unnoticed.

You can say all you want about 25 ta Life, but you have to give credit where it is due. They ALWAYS pumped out merch that people were willing to buy. Sure some of this stuff looks dated, but hey people loved to support. You pretty much can outfit yourself for summer totally in 25 ta Life gear. If only they had sweatpants, Murphy would be all over it.

Spring’s In The Air – Jersey Fever!

I never knew how many hardcore related basketball jerseys were out there until I started working on this blog. Frankly, I’m astonished.

And I’m not even talking about football, hockey or nascar jerseys. Just basketball jerseys. There are A LOT of them.

Let me see if I can generalize some of the bands that put out basketball jerseys. Yes, this is where I stereotype bands. But here’s what I’ve seen.

a) NYHC vibe. Even if they are from Kansas
b) Some sort of militant or hard attitude. Whether it be hardline vegan or just generally tough dudes.
c) Love of 96 era hardcore.

That’s what I’m seeing. You tell me if I’m wrong. I’ve been wrong before. I’m sure it wasn’t the last time.

Start off with Ensign. Good times.

I ATTENDED A NEGATIVE APPROACH SHOW @CLUB SOUTHPAW IT WAS MY 38TH BIRTHDAY ,AND N/A FUCKIN KILLED IT THE SHOW WAS AMAZING ,PRIOR TO THAT I WAS LIVIN IN BROOKLYN NY FOR ALMOST A YEAR ,NY IS GREAT I LOVED THE MIXED CULTURE BUT HONESTLY ITS A COLD FUCKIN PLACE, HEARTLESS ,LOTSA PEOPLE JUST DONT GIVE A FUCK I USTA THINK NJ WAS BAD AS I GREW UP AND LIVED THERE 31 YEARS IN LOVELY PATERSON NJ ,ANYWAYS BACK TO MY STORY

,AND THEY WERE STILL BRUTALLY BEATING ME KICKIN AT MY FACE AND I WAS SAVAGELY BEATEN STOMPED OUT AND LEFT FOR DEAD , TEARING MY SHIRT,I NEVER HAD A CHANCE,NO WARNING NEVER HEARD THEM COMIN DIDNT HAVE A CONFLICT, THEY MUST HIT ME WITH BRASS KNUCKLES OR A PIPE ,fat RING, CAUSE IT SPLIT MY EYE OPEN,,RUINED MY SHIRT AND LEFT A GOUGE ON THE SIDE OF MY FACE ITS NOW A SCAR ,

THAT NIGHT IT WAS TRULY AN AMAZING NIGHT I GOT TO SEE NEGATIVE APPROACH I REMEMBER TOURING WITH AGNOSTIC FRONT IN 1991/92 AND ROGER AF TELLING ME FUCKIN N/A AND WHAT A GREAT BAND THEY WERE ,I FINALLY GOT TO SEE THEM AND YES HE WAS RIGHT,,,BUT I RUINED THIS SHIRT
