The Straight Edge Varsity Jacket

I’m torn on my opinion on this varsity jacket from mrvarsity01. Why torn? I’ll break it down for you.

Pros:
There is a company that recognizes the straight edge market
This company is providing slightly less expensive jackets than a one off
This company recognizes the demographic because so many people must have been buying straight edge varsity jackets
You can get the jacket in any size or color you want

Cons:
Some company is mass marketing varsity jackets
Individual touches and design are out the window for a cookie cutter (albeit GREAT) jacket
Some company is trying to cash in on straight edge

So yeah, I’m torn.

    I saw this and me made me want to get one, but I think I would want to spend hte extra money and get a custom one.

    think RHODE ISLAND STRAIGHT EDGE is to long??

    you could always customize it by adding your city/state below the words on the back

    I think I want RHODE ISLAND arched across the top with STRAIGHT EDGE under it, straight in 2 lines.Thats kind of a lot of text on a jacket though!

    it might long on a jacket but thats the design we’re using for the RIX t shirts. They will be sold at a show happening oct 18th in pvd…details coming soon.

    I’ve never researched prices on somethong like this but 225 does seem like cashing in. Unless this is a good price. Then maybe they’re not that much of a dick. Either way though, the dude making these things better be straight edge. That’s all I gotta say.

    Nick, pretty sure this is an actual varsity jacket company. Like a sports good store that sells to schools and whatnot. Probably not even closely core affiliated. That’s my guess.

    I love varsity jackets! In particular sxe or band related. How sweet is that Floorpunch jacket!
    Here is mine.

    the guy who owns the company told me alot of people were getting them made so he decided to make the design available
